hi i bought farcry a month ago but it wont work i cant return it cause i forgot where the recite is but when i play offline it loads fine until the movie and he gets shot by the rocket launcher it freezes and when i skip it it loads for about 2 seconds and just goes to my desktop when i installed it it kept comming up with this error "wrong value please insert farcry_1 into you drive" i forgot witch drive it said but it installed fine but lol at the end it said my ADG something like that was to low and can make gameplay sometihing i forgot what to word was but please can someone help me today? o one more thing when i used to try to connect to a server on online (this was about a month ago..) it wouldent connect yes i have ALOT of problems please help!

please replie i want to play multiplayer! i just tried multiplayer and it joined a server it said join players join observers and something else but when i moved my mouse it went to the desktop any1 know why this isnt working now?

tell you what, go to start- Run and type DXDIAG and choose to save all data, then copy and past that data into this post, so that we can have a better look at your system

It sounds like maybe heat, I would guess that maybe you were overclocking, but since you don't know anything about your system, probably not.


Got to here http://www.futuremark.com/download/?3dmark03.shtml and download 3dMark03 and run it and let us know what it says your score is, or if it also crashes

Also goto here http://www.aquamark3.com/am3-mirrors.htm and download and run Aquamark3 and report back to us on that ahs well.

Once we have all that, we will have something to work with

Your problem is that you have no video card. Video comes from your motherboard VIA chipset and is not supported by Far Cry. Short story. You can't play the game on that computer without an upgrade.

Ok that's just funny. You need to go buy a new video card, it's a Physical real world item. For around $200 you can get a nice 9800 Pro. For around $300 you can get a really nice 6800. If that's too much, you might look on ebay or somthing.

I can't suggest anything less than a 5700Ultra or 9600 Pro for this game. Odd that you have a fairly decent system, but a total horrible video card.

No, it's not an overclocking problem. You need a minimum level video card and your's pretty much doesn't make that minimum level.

Yes the 9800Pro card will work fairly well, it's not perfect, but it's what I used to play Far Cry with.

The 5750 is a PCI-express card, you can not use that in your system

lol mad u must think im annoying but once again i tried to buy the item off a ebay and i lost the auction but... i found the same videocard only its 6$ more $156.00 but it says it's in 2048x1536 pixles what does that mean is it screen resolution because mines 1024 by 768 pixles wuld my comp be able to use it? and if so i have herd alot of bad things about 9800 pro for some reason

Yes you can use it. that's just the maximum resolution it supports.

Not sure about the bad things you have heard about the 9800 Pro. Search any of the respected Tech Review sites and they will all give glowing reports about the 9800 Pro and 9800XT, really the whole 9xxx family kicks butt.

But sure to read the specs on those cards, The card you really want has a 256bit memory interface not a 128bit memory interface. That is not the same thing has the card having 128 Meg of memory.

I know money is tight, but if getting a 9800 Pro is proving to be a challgen, you might have to step down to a 5700Ultra or 9600 Pro and buy them new. I myself would encourage you to just keep working at it until you can get a 9800 Pro or 5900Ultra
