Hey man, go to the options screen, select input, in the drop down select your X45, then just to the right of that select Axes. then you can click throttle, change, move the throttle and click ok...
PS, don't install the patch until you do any training you want to do because it will mess it up. If you want you can assign zoom to Rotary1 (left thumb knob) but it won't work after you install teh patch. They will have it fixed in the next patch though.
I would also do a search for "precogg" and get his non-TrackIR2 profile that he has made. It will completely set up your stick for you and give you a print out of all your buttons and such for easy reference...
Any specific questions I'd be happy to answer, I have my X45 all tweaked out and know it pretty much inside and out... jjondle@hotmail.com...

jjondle, has said pretty much everthing you need. However the zoom function can be assigned to other switches until the next patched is released. I have on the Hat2 up/down. Paitence is the key word when setting up the x45 but it does work a dream with PRECOGGs file. Good Luck
