It's pitiful that Redstorm can't put objective-based mp modes in games! [Archive]

I honestly can not believe that yet another game coming from Redstorm won't have objective-based mp modes. What is up with this company anyway??????????

DM and DM-modes were popular,,,, when Quake 3 Arena was created.

Geeeee Redstorm,,, I wonder why Counter-Strike is sooooooooo popular? Aren't you people paying attention at all????? How about BF1942???? Does that have objective-based mp modes????

Bottom lines - the popular mp games have objective-based mp modes. That explains why Redstorm games don't even show up on the radar of what is being played. Hard numbers don't lie - http://www.gamespy.com/stats

Your great game is already well positioned to be a very very distant second behind the very graphically inferior Counter-Strike (but better mp modes!!!!) .

This company desperately needs someone in management that's paying attention to what is popular and can show some leadership.

You may want to check this page (http://www.rainbowsix3.com/us/features.php) out. At the bottom it lists the XBL and MP aspects of the game. Hostage Rescue and Bomb...(something) are there.

the game is being made by Ubisoft not Redstorm, and the only reason counter-strike is so popular is because it doesnt matter if your computer is a peice of trash or not and its unrealistic and requires no skill whatsoever

lol! its a bit funny it just trails off after Bomb.....

Its really strange how all the flamers flame this and not Rogue Spear. The way all you whiners feel about this game sounds alot like what Rainbow Six: Rogue Spear was like. But this game is a major improvement over that. Hands down. So what if its not more complex and objective based, its still a fun game. Right now it is 2nd only to AAO on my tactical shooters list.

point well taken there. You cannot get objective-based missions cuz everybody wants to do only survival and terrorist hunt as it seems

exactly...also dont go by gamespy...they dont care who plays it there, they look at Live...and Redstorm Made GR, and its the #1 Live title

also, they took a poll of what Gametypes were wanted(dont get me started on this poll though), and only less than 20% voted for Objectives...most wanted Coop and Team Survival

i was interested in Counterstrike up until i started watching the vids of it...i think it will be crap, and will not get it...loved the pc version, but do not like the looks of the xbox version at all
