Ok ive just got this, what is considered the best/most heavely populated version?

should I jump into 1.41 striaght away or sample 1.2, 1.3 and 1.4 before i make the move?

I want fastest UK servers, i used to play ones on the demo 1.2 which where great.

You should go 1.41 and also install punkbuster.

I want best UK servers, thing is when i had demo all the best servers where on 1.2 and non of them upgraded.

any good survival and team servers on 1.41. have the magority upgraded?

You will find that just about every server is now running on 1.41.

I have just done a very quick search using ASE (All Seeing Eye)...and there are currently only 9 servers running 1.4, 2 servers running 1.31...and I could not find any running earlier versions........compare that to the hundreds running patch 1.41 and you can see that there is NO point to not installing the latest patch /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif .

Also 1.41 + Punkbuster install gives you the best possible chance of finding a cheat free expereince (although sadly this can never be 100% garunteed /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-sad.gif )
