What if they had a way to speak to lambert with him not speaking to you first like if your having a hard time getting the mission done you know kind of like in Metal Gear Soilid2 son of liberty (substance)

I thought of that too. Like if he had an untraceable cellphone or something.

I can't come up with a situation where u would need it but it could be cool no doubt.

It would be cool if you could talk to him through the X-BOX live head set, using a similar voice recognition software to what they used in SOCOM US Navy Seals.

Well it'd be cool but there really isn't all that much you could say. I doubt many people who don't already have the headset will go out and buy one just for the few things you'd be able to say.

and its kinda late to add that isn't it?

but if they could come up with some cool scenarios then maybe in SC3

Well at least for the XBOX Ubi already has the technology cos they did it with the XBOX version of R63/i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif
And they are doing it with GR:JS for PS2 so theoretically they can do it/i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

For the storyline, you COULD talk to Lambert first. Sam's link was constant-Lambert heard and saw everything Sam did, at the same time Sam did.

For hints or whatever, can't see as it'd be much use in the game, although be a nice option. "Heck, Sam, YOU'RE the agent. If you can't figure out a way past that guard, what'd we put you through training for?!?!"

Only other option I would've found useful would be to tell him to shut up when he continually stated the obvious... /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-indifferent.gif

I think he meant SC2 cos PT isn't SC too but I think he meant PT was SC2/i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

Well, I guess there COULD be a three, but the storyline will probably die out by then and the technology in the game will become utilized and refined under a different series' name, most likely. However, they SHOULD do a three if they dumb down (and screw up) PT and SC2... Sequels have a way of losing focus and turning to the absurd as programmers try to one-up the previous with cool moves and stuff instead of just really honing in on the purpose of the game--in this case, realistic stealth infiltration and intelligence gathering.

*cough* realistic? *cough*

Like I said, the purpose, not necessarily what was 100% achieved. SC1 IS a very good start towards realism, though. Balanced for fun, although there's still room for added realism while keeping the gameplay fun high, of course. I'm worried future releases will dumb down the realism thinking they will attract a broader market if they add more of the typical shooter stuff...

Developers need to take more risks-they did that with SC and it really took off, it'd be a shame for them to back down now.

Wow thats the smartest thing ive heard all day! I totally agree. "Stealth action REDEFINED" they better not take a step back, just when we finally take a step in the right direction! /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif
