first let me say, i didn't realize till this weekend, there were two demos (!!!). sorry for any confusion. This game is gonna be awesome! now i hear rumors of still another demo coming? hope the games not 'late'. anyway my impressions after playing both:

rig: p4 1.4G, 1G rdram, 9700pro (4.2 drivers, latest driectx), windows me

settings: everything on 'very high'. 1243 x 768 32 bit, stereo, mid mouse, mid lazy weapon (???)

iv'e played easy, medium, and hard with and without AI balance (seems to be always on?). i see difference in demo1, no difference in demo2.

AI - my bots use different tactics as i replay! not sure if it's due to differences in my approach or just them. i've been ambushed, flanked, charged..weird but great! once (demo1)i noticed no one was around as i approached the first island base (cautiously). a bot poked up his head from behind a bush, i crawled near, using a tree to block line of sight. 1 grenade...5 guys blown up! (they were all hiding behind a bush waiting to jump me!! previous rounds they rushed me (i sniped first from other side of cove) or came single file over to other side of cove, or attacked in gunboat, or some guys came up from behind... this is great! same thing at other 'points' on map! hope the fix the buggy handling though. anyway it seems like no approach is always successful since they adjust their tactics. bravo!

graphics - i see light and shadow, playing across my gun as i move through jungle. i love the way i move through the foliage as well (bushy stuff doesn't stop you, you glance off of larger stuff, only large objects stop you. i see a reflection of what's behind me on the rear lense of my sniper rifle (like sky, bushes, whatever)! i see some blast craters (drove buggy through 1 i made), barrels, vehicles (buggy once) roll into water...underwater, and stay there! BTW, you can use the buggy to push grounded boats back
into water! the water is gorgeous, shimmering, i sigh when i come out of jungle and walk on beach! like a tropical vacation with guns, and murderous cartoons after you. sometimes (if i alerted them, they would get in a firefight with themselves! and i (hit and run) had shot and hightailed it out to other side of island, when i returned from different direction,they'd be still shooting (all over place), sometimes wiping themselves out without any help from me! the bots, chased me too sometimes, through the jungle! good times! i had to do alog of crawling, radar watching, binocing, sniping units 1 by 1 to survive. (loved the 1 granade 5 kills i mentioned above though!). notice the dragon flies? those 'birds' are strange looking though...more like kites.


just a few glitchy, twitchy bots spazouts (easily forgiven to me), save thing was a little confusing (i never do the checkpoints in order). sometimes it seemed my silenced smg had no affect after a while, new game cured that though. there was a place by a fixed gun emplacement, where a bot could stand (couldn't see me)..i could stand in front of it and shoot till the cows camehome to no affect! also it seems if im on my belly, they have tough time dealing me damage (sometimes none at all). radar not always working? (not the motion binoc thing) the HUD. sometimes little dots representing nme (and whether they were alerted or looking my way), sometimes somebody just popped up with no indication on hud at all! still neat though.


great game. the world won't see much of me for a while when i get the full version on my pc! brilliant work crybabies!


Oops i forgot! i run -DEVMODE (outside quotes in properties filename) i set the \sys_spec 2 (gives me buggy, don't know what else, but i suspect my AI improved with this????)

how many \sys_spec values are there?
