Either way, if you solve it just say you solved it. Don't give out the answer.

http://personal.baker.edu/web2/cdavis09/roses.html

And try to not be too analytical about it.

So I'm too smart to figure it out.

What does it say about you MrD?

Nat,

'Since so much of our wit is lateral, it shouldn't be too hard for either of you. [You and M]'

No, it wasn't an insult. It was the same spirit as Elkae's comment about doing it in three and a commentary on the initial observation - we must all be idiots then.

I got it right first try...it just seemed obvious to me...does that mean I'm smart or stupid?

This puzzle has you coming and going...if it takes you a while you feel stupid because it took you so long, and if you get it quickly then the description tells you you aren't that smart... http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_confused.gif

FM, the observation is wrong. It's a pattern-matching test. I've said elsewhere that I'd expect stellaflora to get this instantly, for the same reason Nat and Elkae got it so quickly - mental image manipulation.

Finally got it with MrD's last post and previous hints or something that I suddenly remembered I read.

I feel stupid, but according to the description as FM says and as I said previously, I should feel smart. Real smart since I didn't get it at all last night. Why doesn't that cheer me up? You know that's the reason I didn't want to play Live at first. I thought that if we had to resolve the puzzles in team, everybody would figure them out before me, and I wouldn't have much fun. And according to my IQ, I'm smart... http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/354.gif

But, I'm always manipulating images in my head... I'm not big on words, it's the images the words create. I'm an extreme visual-tactile learner. I can't learn by hearing it, only by seeing and doing.

Like a few others her I got it on the third try.

Don't know how I would have fared if both Maz and Dr Duke hadn't warned of the perils of thinking too hard on this one.

It would be interesting to see how people would fare with this game fi ther were no clues what so ever.

I said previously that the title was a clue for me, but it wasn't actually. It is something MrD had written in his cocoa party thread, "you should think about petals and a hole". I just couldn't remember where I had read it, but it popped in my head yesterday morning, and that is how I got it.

I could not get the puzzle yesterday but this morning I got it after one try. The roll of the dice was probably the key factor with a shove from the petal concept.

ok, I don't mean to brag here but I got this straight away (and considering that not getting it straight away means you're smart I guess it's not something to brag about really anywayhttp://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif) So I suppose this means I'm colossally stupid!

What I like about this game is that it's quite egalitarian. There is kudos attached to either outcome - whether you get it straight away or only after a while. Honour is satisfied both ways!! http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/88.gif

This is proof that playing all those adventure games makes us more stupid instead of smarter. I'm always looking for the "egalitarian", read "all-inclusive," solution. Hope that's vague enough.

Took me 5 tries.
