That's right, now I'm a graphics ******. I love the way Far Cry looks on my 6800GT and I've stepped up and am ordering the 6800 Ultra. Will it make Far Cry look anymore, "WoW?" I don't know, but the card...the card...I will tuck it in when I go to bed, make sure it is well fed and watered and take it out for a run every day. I promise. Can't wait for that backorder to come in. I'm so ashamed.

I ran a 3DMark03 on the card with a result of

10577.

I have no experience with these numbers, are they any good? I have some things running in the background and haven't really configured to optimal settings just curious about how those numbers stack up. I also ran an Aqua Mark and got

When I overclock the hell out of my FX5950 and XP2800, I get around 6,500 on 3DMark03...

Your new ultra wont look that much better then your gt other then thew fact you can bump up the resolution, AA and AF but it will give you even faster frames....its ok to be a 3d junkie. I have 3 gaming rigs they all have these cards 9700pro, 5900xt, 9800xt, and a x800xt pe on order......love pc games ....consoles suck.

Sort of feeling the same way. Got a brand new pc some month ago. 2 weeks into Farcry multiplayer I was ready to sell my brand new Radeon 9800 pro to my brother for 70 bucks just to have a reason for buying an x800 pro xt or something like that.

Now, luckely for my personal economy my friends and family got me into rehab before things got really out of hand. But it feels like any day now I'm gonna fall of the waggon and do it anyways. As mentioned, you got some nasty numbers from benchmarkingâ´. With a P4 3000 MHz with 1024 in RAM and a radeon 9800 pro (nowdays with the right chipset software) I get 5845 in 3D mark and 41682 in Aquamark.

Heck, i wanted the newest ATI so bad, i couldnt get a X800XTpe anywhere..atleast without waiting..So i went to my local Compusa, theye happened to have the X800 pro, instock..so i bought one and the 2 year extended warrenty, so when the XTpe becomes more available, i can bring in the Pro, say "its broken" return it, pay the difference and get the XTpe..Man i spent way to much time working this out..BUT its worth it http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/59.gif
