OK, I have the latest drivers for my 9700 pro card, I edited the config file to the 8000, and 15000 #'s, I also put it in 24 bit color coding, I also referenced my video card, and copied my .dll file from system32 drivers into the lockon directory.... I have settings set to medium, turned reflections off, and put lights to "all"....and I still get 15-20 FPS...even sitting on the runway.....what am I missing??? I see people with older systems, slower CPU's, and older video cards claiming they are getting 50 FPS.......
Is there some settings in the "advanced" settings of my video card that I should be adjusting?
any help appreciated

Mine wasn't so great with any flight sim for a while and then I had a play with my BIOS. I am getting an average 25 to 30fps in LOMAC on the following system:
AMD AthlonXP 2000+ (this is the real bottleneck)
ABIT NF7S mobo
1gig PC2700 RAM (but running at 266 on the DDR)
nVidia GeForce FX 5900 Ultra (256Mb)
As I say until I played with the BIOS I was a little dissapointed with my frame rates but now its really rather good. I can't tell you exactly what to do, check you AGP is running at full tilt, check memory entitlements etc. If you have problems reload the defaults and start again. Hope this helps a little. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif
Don't worry, the game is a hog, those fps are about right depending on what settings you are running at. What are your settings? And dont worry about someone saying that they get 50 fps. Who knows under what situation they get that. Zoomed in and looking at the blue sky? Looking at the ground from cockpit? Maybe an external view looking at plane from the bottom. Who knows what they are doing when they get that 50 fps. Hell, I can look up and get way over 100. Big deal.
Anyway, you can try this is you want to compare to me. start the a-10 campaign, first mission, on runway, unpaused, center view and make sure you are at normal zoom. now what fps you get there. I get 25 fps at that point. Actually, now that i think about it, I'm on the second mission. So, if you've completed the first use the second. It has the clouds. I'm at work, but my setting are(as best I rememebr) sceens and water at med, haze to basic, prload at 100, vis ring at med, effects on hi, no reflection in the cockpit, res is at 12X10X32 with 4xAA and 4XAF.
I have a barton at 200X11 on a nf7-s, with a 9800pro aiw and 1 gig of pc3200c2 pro, I use the soundstorm sound.
Good luck

I was getting about 10-15 fps on lock-on. I decided to try the updated VIA 4 in 1 drivers for my motherboard and I'm getting 25-30-ish fps now.
If you have a VIA based mobo, try getting the 4 in 1 drivers.
