There are views of it, but you are limited in the perspectives and angles you can get.

Unfortunately no. We only have the balconies and the rooftops taunting us. Hurry up live! http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

Does that mean we can get onto balconies in D'ni in the offline game?

Certain areas of the City may be locked off, but other parts will be opened up.

Basically, it's whatever the DRC decide is safe enough for us http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

No matter though, cos once it starts to open up, then it'll be great as we explore. Even those in beta had certain areas locked off and try though you might...you just weren't getting there.

Do we get to go to any part of D'ni in the offline game??, like a room or a tunnel?

No caves or tunnels, just views from atop balconies and a rooftop that are blcked off.

Exactly - albeit ones that wanna make me pull my hair out.

Be on the look out for telescopes to get more views of the city.

I was disappointed by the telescope on the rooftop.
I kept hoping to see people walking around or something -- remember Tay from Riven? If you looked out the window in the door long enough, you could see people in their houses or walking around.
But so far, I haven't seen anyone.
*sigh*

Alot of game Riven eludes me. Need to buy it back and play it over again to refresh my memory.

To cast a look at the city, a quite good place is the balcony available via a linking stone at Kadish puzzle #1, behind the second "telescope", in a tree-cavity. Kadish Gallery is also in the city.

Hi Nofren (Frenyo)...

That balcony view you can get to from the Kadish stone, in beta I almost made it down there (from the city itself) - got over the top barricade and went down the stairs but couldn't get over the barriacade at the bottom. Did you or anyone else manage to get down there? Looked like a mariner or dock front - perhaps where the locked gate at the ferry terminal would lead around to...?

That part of the city was available last time in September or so... that is the beginning of the circle boulevard leading to the Concert Hall and the Library and back to the Palace and Dakotah. Currently the barricades are up at the top of the great stairs.
