abandoned pearl

hi everyone, i got a little problem here. i am in the elevator room, pretty much done with the factory level, and i am trying to get to the abandoned pearl that fell down to the ground with the monster quite at the beginning of the game. how do i get there? i tried pretty much everything and i have no idea left. help would be very much appreciated. :-)

Return to the hovercraft and use this to enter the Elevator Room via the water. This will get you the pearl.
