On the other board someone posted a link for free screenshot software. Could someone repost that for me, please?

Thanks,

Irfanview can record multiply screen shots, edit graphics, play mp3s, cook dinner, etc.

I was just kidding about cooking dinner but it can do a lot! You have to have it running in the background of course.

It's not free, but I use a program called HyperSnap-DX. It's shareware. A single license is $35 USA. It automatically numbers and saves your pictures, thus saving RAM memory.

Another way I've done it to use the screen capture feature of PaintShop Pro 7. This one saves multiple screen shots to your PSP program, and you have to save them manually.

It takes great pictures, but eats up memory because the screen shots are all in temporary memory until you save them, and you have to toggle out of the game to save.

I use a real simple program called FSScreen. It was made for use with MSFS hence the name, but works with any program. Just put the exe in the folder you want the screenshots in and run it. Then in the game just hit the Print Screen key everytime you want to take a screenshot. Works flawlessly, and better yet, it's free.
You can download it here:
FSScreen (http://www.flusiforum.de/reviews/fsscreen/review.htm)
If you don't read German it is the link at the bottom "hier".

I'd also recommend Hypersnap. It's not free, but it's not expensive, and it works great. It's better than having to tab out of the game to do a paste of your "print screen" into paint. Sometimes when you tab out of Uru it causes problems.

I use the freeware program (Windows) Gadwin Printscreen. Allows you to capture a screen or part thereof. www.gadwin.com (http://www.gadwin.com)

I use Print Screen Deluxe (http://www.americansys.com/psd.htm)--not free, but the best I've ever used. Has an automatic naming feature so you don't get any pop-up "name this file" menu, can do whole or part screen and you can program it for any shortcut key you want (i use the default Printscreen key though). You can do consequetive shots rather quickly and it makes a sound when the capture is successful (even sounds like one of the directional sounds for the Subway in Myst). http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I use two applications.

One is called "Mr. Snappy 95". It's old, but reliable. Just do a quick web search and you can find multiple sources to download it. At work, I use a really inexpensive application called "SnagIt (http://www.techsmith.com)".

I will checkout your suggestion, Bistro. Print Screen Deluxe looks interesting.

ok, in the old days (when MYST was written on the MAC platform) <snif>, the screen saver was written in the OS and would save each shot as a gif in your doc folder that you could edit, etc. I miss those days...
