More importantly I am tired of the regulars jumping on new members when a repeated question is asked. If a question has been asked 20 times and it annoys you DON'T REPLY. For the person posting it is their 1st time, and has no bearing on them as people whatsoever. You were all new once before. /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-mad.gif

Thread hi-jacking WILL STOP. We have asked many times about these 2 things, and yet it still continues. As with the swearing if any of these continue to happen, you will be issued with a warning and that is final. A quick hello within a thread is fine, but completely changing topics is not. If the topic is completed leave the thread alone it will move into the background.

Treat EVERYONE on these boards with respect regardless of how long they have been here. Far too many new members arrive and are never seen again, because of the hostile reception they receive. /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-mad.gif

If a mod mankes a request or a statement, STOP arguing with them and questioning them on the open boards. If you have a problem by all mean PM us.

This is not a freedom of speech zone so don't pull that argument. this is a privately owned forum, with its own rules and Us mods are here to enforce those rules. We do so in our own time and for YOUR benefit.

WE DO NOT have to explain ourselves or our actions. We do not abuse our power and are extremely fair and lenient, but that leniency has been taken for granted and it will stop.


Regardless of how long you have been here you can still be banned so the superior attitudes that some of you have towards new members had best go. I have been here longer than everyone on this board, including S7N, but I don't rub that in anyones face.

I think comparing a strick moderator to North Korea is a bit much... i dunno, i dont think SKULLS_Hawk is actively pursuing nuclear weapons or mowing down thousands of his own people... I think hes just trying to get this place bit more organized and clean.

I guess there is a difference between an OFF-TOPIC forum and going off the topic at hand....

For example.... a while ago back... we had a thread here in rememberance of the NASA astonaunts that died..... it was supposed to be for people to pay respects... but it ended up being a discussion thread between a small group people...

my point is... a thread is started with ONE topic to discuss... but it ends up being a GAB thread and people didnt even talk about that origianl topic....

so thats the definition of going off the topic....

in this forum pretty much means we can discuss any topic not related Splinter Cell (as longs as its clean and within the guidelines).... hence the term OFF-TOPIC forum...

Of late this forum has become a mad house because we have been lenient. We are now going to be more strict yes, but that isn't a bad thing. Stick to the guidelines and you will not have a problem.

Just stick to what is asked, it isn't hard and most of you are doing this already so why try and fight with the mods, you WILL loose. Quite simple.

I agree with what the mods are saying.

I'm pretty new here myself (not that new, but I'm not exactly a regular), and thankfully I didn't get too bad a reception, but some of the new guys get treated really badly. It's not really on.

Hopefully the 'newbiephobia' will stop soon. To me, it's the sooner the better.

P.S. That doesn't include ex-members who've been banned. They should be banned again and again until they find another forum to wreck.

I regularly come here to read posts- infact, if you check, i have signed on loads of times- but rarely post myself. The regulars (not mentioning any names) do sometimes make newbies feel quite awkward. Just a few days ago, some guy came and sed he had changed his name. People (and if this was you, please dont think im singling you out, its just this was the first example that came to mind) were like "i have no idea who you are" and im sure this person must have felt quite awkward. I myself have made mistakes- one time, i loaded up page 3 instead of 1, and answered a thread believing it was one of the top ones. Someone straight away jumped on this, and told me in the least friendly way possible that i was bumping old threads. Again, sorry if you think i am singling anyone out, but i am just coming up with some examples. I hope this thread serves it's purpose, and we have newbies posting and adding to this board again.

Indeed they do have it pretty good pope, but the rules will be enforced far more strictly from now on, as the leniency is repayed in the form of bad manners, and general all round bad behaviour.

As I said previously it is easy to follow the rules, but if you want to fight the mods go ahead..... YOU WILL LOOSE....
