Smilies are not the cause of the secuity problem, but they are only active when UBBCode is turned on, and *that* is where the problems are arising right now. So, once the problems have been fixed, the smilies and UBBCode will return.

actually, it's funny, but there's a fairly common disorder that makes it almost impossible for people to smile and achieve more than just a couple facial expressions.. Strange but wild.

The other disorder that causes this is a social manifestation and I find tickling the begeezus out of them works well.

PX: physical disorder. Asperger's Syndrome is not typified at all by lack of emotion or inability to smile. In fact most of the Asperger's and Autistic people I know have extensive levels of emotion and facial expressions to go with them. -- My mother was an autism specialist as I went through highschool and college, I've met and worked with a lot of people with autism and aspergers because of that. --

I can't remember the name of what I'm referring to. But it affects like 1 in every 600 people or something pretty common. Basically it comes in a few types, mostly related to some form of facial paralysis. Some are nerve disorders, some muscular disorders, and a few are mental disorders that just keep the body fro mbeing able to interpret the commands in order to do it..

They've started giving these people botox injections to help them smile *twitch* and also have some fairly drastic -- but workable surgeries that can help cure the problems in some cases. It's very odd.

gaberax, it's an US past time to worry about what horrible problem your child could possibly have and whether or not it'd be too early or too late by the time you found out to have an abortion and whether or not said abortion would be ethical or not.

Phew.

Either way, all this mess has made me decide quite firmly -- and my fiance thankfully agrees -- that whenever she does get pregnant, she will not be having an ultrasound unless there is very obviously something wrong that needs checked out that may affect not only the potential health and well-being of the baby-to-be but also of the mother-to-be. Amongst other more/less invasive methods of checking on the child. For one thing, they've proven that ultrasound causes bubbles to form in the soft tissues of dolphins and whales -- so what could this possibly be doing to your babies brain? Which of course we can't do any form of partial-birth abortion intentionally to test to see if these things do cause this type of problem to appear, since that would be 'unethical'..
