Here is a a message to all you software developers who think you can somehow justify UBI's lack of attention to this product:
This is a consumer market, not a developers market. You cater to us, we put money in your pocket for a product that should be flawless. I don't care about "bugs that couldn't be fixed because it's impossible to know every combination of what someone is going to do in certain modules under certain circumstances..." whatever. If the game was released and not fully functional then you are selling incomplete product. Furthermore you can call this product "Raven Sheild" a failure on the part that if it take these developers MONTHS to fix ONE issue out of many and upon implementation of that fix cause other problems, then the engine or code doesn't allow for easy fixing or the developers flat out don't know what they are doing. This is what I would call a failed business venture. Someone made a bad decision and they don't want to admit it, instead they trail everyone along taking the money and not fixing anything.
The reason everyone is so upset is because all the other large gaming and software agencies who release games like .. Electronic Arts, etc.. these people fix issues in days, not months..so you have to understand that these other companies are setting expectations to the consumer of what is and what is not acceptable time tables for things of this nature to be fixed. What UBI has done is not acceptable. No REAL fixes, no expansion, no listening to the consumer base about what needs attention in the game and last but without a doubt the most important .. ZERO communication to their clients, us, the gamers. This lack of communication has left people with a bad taste in their mouth about the company and the game. It's sad.

Actually they chose Volkan as their voice towards the community. And he is shaping up this product after the communitys desires, although it's happening at a extremely low pace. One thing that is most certain is that they didn't follow a realistic timetable for debugging. It has taken way to long, and I think I understand why they kept the developers off the boards. They would risk getting the thrashing of their lives if they were ever to set their foot in here. That is not a threat, but speculation based on previous experience with the community.
He has also stated there will be a Live Team which is going to interact more with the community. If that means they are developers and will follow the boards I don't know. All that is said is that they will update the dev's corner as for now. I'll bet my money they won't show up here.
Remember this though. Ubisoft screwed up big and I'm not a great believer of comebacks. This has hurt the fanbase on the forums and probably a bit of the other customers. It will be a very long time before I purchase another one of their products. They need to go over a healthy business-model and adopt it before they can have my money again.
I have given them the chance with 1.4. This is for raven-shield only, not the other products which I suspect is just as poorly developed upon release. Volkan deserves credits though, since he is atleast trying to make something out of this.

Live Team, hah!
I think he meant the developers just woke from the dead.
I could be wrong.

this game came out when feb?
and their is still huge bugs in it that were present in the demo... hmmm
makes you wonder what they are actually fixing?
I mean how the heck can we keep playing a game when everytime u do something ur bugged?
It is like we are still playing a demo worth 50$?
I bet if people in this communtiy demand some kind of reinburstment of some sort or even a full refund I could almost bet ya they would get their $sses in gear.
hmmm legal actions against ubi from 500 people? 1000 ? 2000?
I am sure if you look online you could find something that could be taken against them.
I mean people have this game since it came out and can't even play the dang thing that is just pathetic.
Bugs that were in the demo which said were gonna be fixed in the retail ? still their?
UBI CEO's are sitting in their high almighty chairs and laughing at this community. WHY? cause they already have our money and they are laughing at us.
granted volkran is at least trying.
But I am sorry it is waaaaaaaaaaaaay past trying.
Things need to start happening and as of like 5 months ago.
Not 2 more months for the 1.40 patch.
Beta testing? that is a joke.
You test the patch for 1 week then release it not beta test it for 3 months...
It is obvious your patches run on yours machines. (if they are even truly beta testing)
Who gives a rats $ss if it works on ubi's machines.
It is our machines the game needs to work on.
Release the patch and then if probs arise fix them in a quick timely fasion not in 2 months.
This game should of been fixed long ago.
It is a fun game. However people will only take so much and I believe everyone on this forum and everyone who plays it is just fed up.
I swear if i see 1 more person post FIX the fps ill stab my eye with an ice pick..
WHo cares about the freaking fps when you are stuck on a ladder? or how about have a frag stuck in your hand?
Or your zoom is stuck on?
Dang fps could be a million but it wouldn't make a difference cause ur bugged. So why fix that? Tweak and optimize the game after the major bugs are gone.
Which doesn't seem to be anytime soon.
Again failure:
linux was suppose to be out with the 1.0 1.1 1.2 1.3 1.31 1.32 1.40 1.* ???????????
Now all of a sudden they had an issue with it?
What issue? (Microsoft sent them extra money)
Notice anything similar between them?
Release product
Product don't work right.
Promise to fix it
Promise to release patch soon
Promie promise promise bleh bleh bleh ....
I just read in another post brazil only has the 1.2 patch?
what the heck is that?
after everything is all said in done after about 3 more months of this bs.
I am sure ubi will be getting legal actions against them.
and fyi ubi, consumers can file a complaint you pretty much
bent us all over and **** us up the *** (fill in the blanks) while laughing and take our money.
Federal Trade Commission (FTC) Bureau of Consumer Protection
http://www.ftc.gov
and complaint form here:
https://rn.ftc.gov/pls/dod/wsolcq$.startup?Z_ORG_CODE=PU01
now maybe if you have the federal gov asking you questions you'll finally do something about this funk you created for youself.
