I am from the Gr forums but i figured i would get quicker repsponses here....
i went to install 2 sticks of memory into my PCI slots on my pc...only it didnt work...when i turned it on it showed that 64MB was good and the rest was bad...then it said F1 to boot...or F10 to conputer setup...first i tried booting it but it went back to the same screen...next i tried F10 and i got some big menu with all sorts of options...i booted it again and it went to the window that asks what mode i want to run...(Safe Mode, Normal Mode..etc)...but it just shut off...when i turned it on safe mode, the color was like 3 different colors...and it looked my first computer...horrible...so i took everything back out...and restored it to how it was yesterday...i was just wondering what i did wrong?

well, if you actually put memory into a PCI slot, there is your first mistake, what kind of memory are you using, remember, you can not mix speeds when you use anything less than DDR memory, also if you use EDO or RIMM memory, you need to install in pairs. Please post more information on what exactly you are installing, and where you are trying to install it

Right on! If you stick a stick of RAM into a PCI slot (the white expansion slots) it won't work because that's for expansion cards such as modems, sound cards, etc. The RAM slots are usually black with white locks on both ends. They are located right next to the CPU. Take out the old stick you have and put the new stick in and see if it recognises it.

So, the highest you can go is 384. Take out the original stick(s) that was in there to begin with. Then, put the new sticks in and try to boot up.

Only stick the ones that are the same into your computer. For example, if you have two PC133 128mb sticks, only put those in. Different memory sticks can cause problems.

While you had the case off?
Quick Poll: How many people actually have a case on their computer. I, for one, have three computers with no cases on them. It makes it easier to fix things when they are broken (which happens frequently).

I have my case on because my airflow is better with the case together, plus my temp drops with it on.
As for your problem, there may be something wrong with your board. Contact the company that put it out and ask them if there is a way to fix it.
