static campaign in AEP

I am trying to load a custom Italian campaign in AEP alot of cool missions for the fiat g.50. Looked at a previous thread and followed directions and no joy. I created a file: missions/campaign/It/stormo and it does not show up in the career window. I created a text file in the stormo file and still no joy.

Any help please.

Do you have a 'info.properties'? That's the file with your campaign description.

hi plumps. I read your post to that guy with the AVG campaign. What u said did not work for me. I was up till midnight working on this......

Does the textfile have to be named 'info.properties'?
Just tried that. Still no joy.

Every campaign has to have an info.properties file. Just look into an existing campaign folder and open that file in a text editor.

I don't remember which of my postings you are refering to and I'm not really sure if I understand you correctly; please be more specific. Did you download that campaign, and had you already started to play it before AEP. Or are you just trying to make the campaign yourself? In this case just copy the 'info.properties' from another campaign and replace the text with your own.

I have AEP. I made a number of missions featuring the g.50. I created a file in the campaign directory and called it It. Then I created another file there called 85 stormo, placed the created missions in there. In 85 stormo, I placed a text file called info.properties:

Gorrini,Luigi,Naples,1903
85_squadralinia
dir=missions\campaign\it\mediteranean

When I go into AEP, I go to pilot career, and Italy is a choice, I hit it, and nothing comes up, music stops, and when I hit start I get the main menu. ???

any help would be appreciated.

That's something different. No voids are allowed in the folder name!

"85_stormo" should be better.

You need these files for a campaign: "CAMPAIGN.INI", "all.ini", your mission files and "info.properties". After you get your first campaign to work you'll see how easy it is. It's just that first one that causes so many people problems.

No, didn't work. All I want to do is play random missions I created. Its static, but random. The manual states that this can be done. I don't know what Im doing wrong here. The manual is not very clear. Another post stated that its not neccessary with FB to make the all.ini file.

There's a lot that can be done wrong. Without seeing what you actually did it's hard to say anything.

E. g. you can't insert line breaks into the info.properties, because these act as separators and anything below them will be invisible. Type '/n' instead.

Also check the spelling of all the file names very carefully.

I guess i need to know if its possible to create a file 'It' in the mission directory?

You're right, why don't I see the most obvious? But you might easily find out if that's the only reason if you place your campaign under one of the existing country folders and try to start it there.

Finally got it to run!!!! Now all I need is an Italia fasces icon and a fiat g.50 backdrop with an italian language pak and im in business!!

Well... what you need is a complete Italian Campaign Folder... I have one ready, with ranks, background image, medals, etc... I am just waiting to have the AEP to finish a mini-campaign to make it work !!!

Cool. Can't wait to see it! I made my own background and Icon for the career screen. Downloaded from IL2 skins the medals ect. Language pak...Need to get one...

My campaign will deal with the CR.42 equipped 3* stormo. During the summer of 1941, it was re-equipped with mc.200s Im using the g.50 for it. Wish we had a mc.200! Using the Crimea/kuban maps since they are big enough for the 125km flight from southern sicily to malta. Not sure how many missions Im gonna have yet.....
