No problem...

I would really like if some more ppl to verify it also works on their system. As of now I have tried it, and MindlessOath has tried the drivers as well...

I tried it out, and the anti-aliasing works in game, but I still can't put waypoints during planning phase. They're pretty much the same results I got when using the Catalyst 3.8 drivers.

Now I have to admit, I didn't install the UNian drivers in Safe Mode. After using Driver Cleaner (filter ATI), I tried to install the drivers, but it couldn't find a specific .inf file, and suggested I install a standard VGA driver first. No luck there - I couldn't install a plug-and-play driver, or even the driver that came in my ATI CD (it gave me the same error message). Weird stuff.

Anyway, I rebooted into normal XP Home, and installed the UNian drivers. I checked the driver build, and it matched the Catalyst 4.2, so I THINK it worked out alright.

Whoops, I got it wrong. Upon further investigation, I find that these drivers DO NOT work for me.

On an SP custom terrorist hunt mission, I was going along nicely with AA on, until I got wounded. Then the AA turned off. Makes me wonder if I had to get wounded to turn the AA off, or if it's just enough to get that little blur when you are hit but not wounded. I died and retried the action.

After the level reloaded, the AA was back on. I flashbanged myself, and it turned off again. I guess I need to go back to the Catalyst 3.8. I hope it works out for you other guys out there.

yes please more people test this. we really need to pin this issue down, as UBI doesnt do anything about anything, and i doubt they will.

ah, but they did do something about it recently.

they made the screen freeze when you get hit while antialiasing is on.. on Nvidia cards too.

so now it's all fair, because they both have problems http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

This is a "bump." Please, all of you with ATI Radeons who've had anti-aliasing problems with the more recent ATI Catalyst drivers (later than 3.8) please try out the UNian drivers. Let not GunnyHighway and MindlessOath's research go to waste.

It didn't work for me, but it may work for you, just as it has for GunnyHighway.

Hi, I tried the new cat 4.3 and AA and AF work for me until i do a reboot of my machine. I don't get a freeze when im shot and it looks like AA is still on looking at my AI.

I tried the UNI Cat drivers last night, as well as the rTool with no luck. I think I am going to downgrade to the 3.7 Cat drivers. Has anybody who downgraded experienced any loss in framerates?

Don't use the 3.7's use the 3.8's. The 3.8's are much better, more streamlined, faster, and they were the first ATI drivers to integrate the control panel into the install file as well as the ATI Uninstall Utility.

I wish this issue would be seriously addressed and fixed already! Sheeze...

I would assume that the 3.8s don't experience the AA bug...right?

GTAZZER

Nope, CAT 3.8 are the best drivers for Ravenshield.. and I tried them all. None of the ones after 3.8 work with AA on my Radeon 9700pro.

And according to this from the often ignored read me..

'If you select the "Manually select the antialiasing mode" option, the game and/or your PC may crash.'

It will more then likely never work with RS or AS. And considering newer games will require newer drivers, you will have to put up with the bug or get Nvidia. Ironic that when the game came out it said that it works best with ATI, and yet my other PC has no problems with AA and it's Geforce 4ti4600.
