First of all, I want to say this, because I know that there are going to be people who jump to conclusions: I DO NOT HATE MY LITTLE PONY. I don't mind the show at all. Although I watched some episodes of it on YouTube and thought that it was nothing to get so hyped up about, I don't hate it. It's a good show for kids. still the best back in the 80's and early when they had the first generation. Perfectly understandable, if you are a Pre-K/kindergarten age girl.

It's the fandom, the fantards and the over obsessed 'bronies' that really rub me wrong.


All these memes that surround the show... like calling Princess Celestia "Trollestia", and quoting it all the time as if the show was a Newgrounds Flash movie and only served a purpose for the lulz. No. Just, no. I feel really sorry for the regular fans of the show that have to be placed in the same generalized group as those people.


Does everything have to be a pony? Seriously? First it was waffles, now it's ponies. EVERYTHING has been drawn a pony. There's Team Fortress, Left 4 Dead, even Grand Theft Auto ponies...and more. Even real people have been drawn as ponies. Enough is enough. Another thing; do you really think that combining a children show with a 16+ rated game is a good idea? That's like making Barney the Dinosaur the protagonist of a Saw movie.


The show was made for kids to enjoy. Not for memes.


That doesn't mean I would recommend this show for anyone who isn't a girl under 12. Face it, MLP is very girly and is meant for that age group. To be honest, I think a lot - not all, mind you - of fans of this show are only interested because it's an internet meme. A very unfunny, overused one at that.


I'd like to also point out that many bronies hate the past generations. Not just dislike them, but they say things like "BURN GENERATION X", etc. Well, I've got news for you bronies. If it weren't for the older generations, your precious Friendship is Magic wouldn't exist.

Any male outside of the targeted audience would be considered a "brony", and females that like they show who exist outside the target age-group are referred to as "pegasisters". Those are just the terms associated with the show, not the extremes of the fandom. Granted, there are a lot of extremes when it comes to the fandom but a vast majority of the audience are just regular people who enjoy the show.

I'm a legitimate fan of the show, I watch it because it's more entertaining than a lot of stuff on television. It's funny, witty, the characters have amazing personality, and most importantly the writing is superb. Sure a lot of the lessons the show teaches are obvious things that most of us already know, however the implementation is golden. I think a lot of us watch the show for this reason, and the obvious, benefit that the nature of the leaves a residual "warm and fuzzy" feeling.

I wouldn't say that it's over-rated at all, there are very few television shows that I can justify "wasting" time to watch. My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic is definitely in my top 5.

The thread is pretty much just because - I am bored waiting for GRO OB!

Plus, the whole evolution of the semi-obsession with The Pony.

Sure, there's a cartoon show. But, that is not the prime reason some gamers get obsessed with The Pony.

The real root of the obsession is a connection to pwn, a hacker corruption of own. The presence of the cartoons meant that inevitably someone, many someones, would eventually stumble across the "fun" of "My Little Pwnies." which becomes re-corrupted into "My Little Ponies".

So, the obsession with The Pony is based on a corruption of a corruption that appears to be a real word.

This stuff just cracks me the heck up when I am bored. So, I do it for the lulz.

Unless UBI wants me to find MORE stuff like this to mock, then they need to end my bordom and get the GRO OB out there ASAP.
