Has anyone had luck getting true reflective water effects using opengl?

Also, while using opengl, there are "magazines" and such lying around on the group that in other screenshots that I've seen those are clearly magazine or flyers or phamplets, etc; but in my opengl setup it's just a bright white page or very blurry.

Anyone have these problems using OpenGL that you cannot fix? I'm especially concerned if I can get the water effects to work correctly, even if it slows everything else down.

Thanks ahead of time. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_confused.gif
