First off, note the Final GUI. It is subtle, but you will notice some additional options in the FPS/Scenery manager. You can have a true bare bones mission with planes only, or fairly nice scenery.

Most importantly, the Random Generator is fully functional again. Better yet, now the Random settings are called "Rules" setting, because you can apply them while building a mission, as opposed to only having them available when you generate Random missions. So, if you want to have only 1941 planes available, and you do not want to think which ones they are, simply check the option, and go directly to the DB with the correct planes avaialble. After choosing the plane, you get to fine tune in the flight editor.

I am now updating the old Net 1, Net 2, and Net Islands templates to incorporate new FB and UQMG features. Once I update the existing maps, I'll release the new UQMG. As I design more templates for different maps, I'' release them as simple upgrade patches.

And yes, of course, as soon as the FB update is released I'll update new planes and weapons.

Multiplayer coop?...

To make a long story short: YES.

UQMG was developed as a compromise between the QMB and FMB. Basically as easy as QMB, but with features from FMB, only easier. It is a user's program, not a mission designer's program per se.

On that note, I developed as a Single Player offline type deal, but then I thought... with a simple modification, I could make an identical copy of the mission to be available as a MP Coop mission... simple.

So, when you press the create mission button, the same mission is generated for single play, which you access in the single player menu under country "none", and it is available at the same time in the Coop mission menu, so you can play with your friends.

Additional features are:
* Random Generator
* Objet database with statistics and DB tool to help you separate the type of planes you want... (for example, what kinds of fighter did Brazil user? you put your criteria in and you get the results, then you can pick the planes.)
* Open architecture that allows advanced users to generate their own templates.
* Cache that saves files in IL-2 format so you can edit them in FMB to improve them if you want.
* A way to save and load UQMG files
* Apply rules to limit which planes you can pick for your mission, like year based...
* Fly ANY flight, not just the first flight like in QMB
* Fly as Leader, Wingman, second element leader, or second element wingman.
* Start Mission from Base
* Fully populated maps and bases with new FB objects.
* Have bare bone aircraft mission only to save FPS or add objects you want, all with a simple click.
* Pick ALL Aircraft including seaplanes and gliders.
* Seaplanes can start from seaplane bases.
* Choose glider/tug combos as easily as a flight... all combinations, even non historical (such as Bf-110 and G-11) are available. On He-111H tug combos you can be the pilot...
* Historical Ace flights with the Ace as wingman and other planes of same type, not copies of the Ace planes... and depending on the type, you can fly with him.

And much more really...
