Anyone ever have one of their weapons have their sound stuck on when firing? It's happened to my about 5 times over the last 6 months - not very often.

When it happens, the guy who's responsible is not actually firing but his weapon sound is stuck on. I have to cycle through the players and single-tap each weapon until I find who's "at fault".

Must be a certain set of circumstances that sets it off. But, this sounds like a typical Creative Labs problem. I'm using an Audigy 2.

Chiles4,
I have the same problem occasionally. I have not sought a resolution.
For what it is worth,
I have SB Audigy Audio [C000]
Driver Name: ctaud2k.sys
Driver Version: 5.12.0001.0252
Date and Size: 7/18/2002 , 837548 bytes
GR EAX is unchecked
Hdwe acceleration: basic

If it does it no more then occasionally, I can live with it. Guess I"m too lazy to mess with it.

Don't know if this is what you mean but:

It happened sometimes that one of my men was shooting continuously even though there was no enemy visible nor a red dot on the map. Yet it turned out there actually was an enemy, hidden in a building or behind a wall. Possibly my man got a short view of him and knowing his approximate position, continued shooting in that direction.

If this is what you mean and you cannot find the enemy, try to place a sensor just to check it out.
