All I can think of off hand is I have a two gig processor and microsoft xp.
The Riven seems to be downloaded into the computer as the loading software indicates, but when I press play, nothing happens; it just sits there the opening screen with the run button.

I see the faq's above; i suppose I'll check out some of those things; it is still weird that my computer will play myst but not riven though!

I just tried installing riven in both the cd-rom and dvd drives, and both just wouldn't do anything when pressing run; they don't even eject disk one and ask for disk 2; they don't ask for anything.
In reading the faq's that you all are forming above, I do remember switching up something about java because the yahoo fantasy football needed it for chatting purposes; i really don't remember what and where I changed things up; i guess i'm outta luck ha?
well, I guess I'm outta here.
When you say it would do anything when pressing run, do you mean that you went to START-RUN-Browse and then chose the CD player where the disc was and chose setup from the icon listed in the window?
Let's see if we can't figure this out, Flash, because once you've started down that road the mystery unfolds and you can't help wanting to see what's around the next corner.
