WHAT IS A CROSSOVER (SYSTEM LINK) AND A PATCH CABLE?

A crossover or system link cable is used to hook two XBoxes directly together. You can also use this cable to hook an XBox directly to a Network Interface Card (NIC card). A patch (or straight) cable is used to hook your XBox to a hub/switch or router.
