So since I am a PS3 player I felt great need to make this thread, now let me start by saying SC series didn't do as great on the PS as Xbox due to the quality, PS games were always far inferior, bad in quality, and as bad port as it can be, hence no one really got into it, on the other side MGS games are doing really good on the PS system.

So for SCB I hope Ubi proves us wrong, I don't want a bad port, I bought CT on PC since the PS2 version was the worse version ever, PS3 users missed SCC, so in SCB there should be some kinda of recap of what happened in SCC for those PS3 users, I managed to play it on PC, but I am not sure others did.

SCB needs to be high quality on PS3 as it is on X360, meaning we need to see PS3 footage, same thing happened with GRFS, almost every footage was X360, hence the PS3 community isn't as big as the X360, on the other hand Assassin's Creed community is really big on the PS3, maybe as big as the X360, that's cause Ubi always show AC running on PS3, I believe R6P will be a major hit on PS3 too assuming they will show it on PS3 like the Target Footage.

So I hope from the developer that we see PS3 footage, to generate hype, be sure that the quality is as good as X360 version, and again adding a recap for SCC events.

I hope you don't talk my word as saying I don't want the developer to release X360 footage, no, not at all, I want them to release footage on both system, I don't want a stupid console war.

oh and people may say that we got the SC HD Collection, that is true, yet keep in mind it was without the MP, and even without the Co-Op, also I don't believe SAR had every level released (not sure).

Agree and if someone asks for MGS4 on Xbox360 its impossible as Mr. Kojima said it himself that the Xbox360 canīt handle such a big game.

Completely agree. Some players on the Playstation may be at a disadvantage as to what's happening in the story, so a small video (3-5 minutes) would be cool to include on all of the consoles for catch-up purposes. At least something like what Bioware did on the ME2 port for PS3.

What if they made a port of SCC and included it as a download for either pre-orders or for any purchase of the game? Companies have done that before...or similar things.

For the time they had they have actually made a good PC port in SCC, so I do think the PS3 version will perform very good as well when it comes to Blacklist now.

I just hope they do SCB just on the PS3, I saw many people complaining about the absence of GRFS PS3 footage, I don't want that to happen with SCB.

A SCC post would be amazing, but highly unlikly

I don't think we will get any Xbox 360 footage either. They presented the demo on PC.

MS demo sure was on X360 right ?!

Ubi support MS (especially Kinect) so most of the footage will be X360 I think.

How about a good pc port that is optimized, too? Yeah? great!

you are talking about SCB right ?!

Yeah, PS3 gets inferior ports all the time :( only way around that is making the game on PS3 first then port them like Dead Space 2 & Assassin's Creed 1 & if I remember correctly the PS3 version of AC1 is at times 60 fps... sure it had lower rez textures & washed out colors but... 60 fps... that's a huge difference!

Another example is L.A noire... the PS3 version is better because it has SSAO screen space ambient occlusion but the 360 doesn't

oh and people may say that we got the SC HD Collection, that is true, yet keep in mind it was without the MP, and even without the Co-Op, also I don't believe SAR had every level released (not sure). That was just plain laziness on Ubisoft's part... it's a BLUE RAY DISK!! (25-50 GB) why can't we have the coop component as well
I was very, very disappointed.

How about a good pc port that is optimized, too? Yeah? great!I thought Ubisoft's PC ports are great (mind the DRM of course) PC gamers everywhere talk about how optimized the PC version of the Assassin's Creed series... but it uses the Anvil Engine... Splinter Cell uses a modded Unreal 2.5 (called LEAD engine I think)

Anyone here got SCC on PC? how was it at launch?

Indeed, Developing on the PS3 is harder and more complicated, so developer use X360 as their base since it is easier, yet the end result when they port is really bad, take Bayonetta for example, the PS3 was a very bad port, IGN gave it 9.2 on X360 while 8.2 on PS3.

That never happen when you port from PS3 to other systems, as far as I know.

Indeed Harbi, I could have forgiven no Spy vs Merc, but not even Co-Op, it is clear that the HD collection started as something cool, and became a quick cash.
((on a 2nd thought, they should have included Spy vs Merc from CT too at least, it could have created a big hype))

I'm not sure specifically about the footage you're referring to but what happens a lot when there are many eyes on a live event is that they actually run it on PC, and make it look like it was run on console.

Not bad at all. It still has few issues, but it has LAN multiplayer (playable via VPN software)! For such rare thing you can forgive everything, even horrible almost broken offline mode.

Eurogamer wrote (http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2011-08-23-splinter-cell-trilogy-hd-review) that the HD remakes have been taken from the PC versions. PC version of Chaos Theory doesn't have local co-op at all, it has only online co-op mode. I guess, it's impossible to port online functionality from PC to PS3.

I was talking about Mircosoft Conference Demo, but maybe that's the case, I wouldn't mind PC being the lead design.

I see, I see, that's good to know, yet still sad, I would have loved for them to include the MP, and the extra missions the PS2 got, and the ones the PC got too, it would have taken alot of work, but it would have been worth it.

I am on PS3 and I read Digital Foundry so it undeniable that PS3 versions for multi-platform are rarely as good as on Xbox.
Also the PS3 might have been difficult to program 5 years ago but now, near the end of this gen, the PS3 is a well know machine and the developers that can't do well on it frankly don't deserve my attention nor my respect.

At least it had a better launch that MAX PAYNE 3!! my god, I'm a new PC gamer & now I know why most PC gamers are always angry & don't pre-order games.

NOT ONLY I had to wait 15 days after the release of the consoles version to get the PC version
NOT ONLY I had to download 25GB at launch from Amazon (no-preload like steam)
the game was unplayable at launch because of their stupid Rockstar Social Club DRM!!! I had to download a crack to play I game I've paid for... lol

So, when you install the game, it will be like this C:\Program Files\Rockstar games\Max Payne 3
but their stupid DRM thinks I have a pirated version because it doesn't recognizes "Max Payne 3" (with spaces)
so after a day of trail & error we figured we have to manually erase the spaces from "Max Payne 3" to "MaxPayne3" and it launched but... we can't get past the Rockstar Social Club log in screen -_-

4 days after... we got a patch to fix gameplay issues & their stupid DRM & in doing so they broke the 5.1 surround... now some gamers like me will hold off at playing the game until they release another patch... 22 days & counting *sigh* too bad the game looks & runs perfectly at max with no problems at 80 FPS
