Reset characters?

So when the beta was suppose to end, I was under the impression that everyones characters would be reset. In light of this, a few days before the servers were going to go off, I sold all my weapons at a FRACTION of the price just so I could buy some other weapons that I hadn't tried yet so I would know exactly what to buy after my character was reset.

I've read now that characters are NOT going to be reset and we are going to keep all our current goods? This is frankly an absolute train wreck for me as I sold off my 5000gps LMG and 2700gp sniper for something like 600gps so I could buy and test out a shotgun and sold my 3600gps armour for maybe 400gps just so I could see what speed increase the other armour would give me. Ive now got a lvl12 specialist and lvl 10 recon with pretty much nothing and I feel a bit cheated.

Surely peoples characters should be reset as a lot of people have leveled up quickly using bugs like the dolphin diving etc? If not, can there please be an option to reset or am I going to have to get a new account and wait for another beta key?

Characters will only be reset when the devs say they will be reset. For the last few beta phases there was no wipe. There WILL BE a reset when the game goes open beta. Everything you achieve in the OB will most likely not be wiped when the game goes final.

If you want to start over right now you have to create a new account.
