Watchdogs movie?

just reading joystiq and came across an article that ubi is possibly making a splinter cell movie after reading a bit more due to the fact that it was a watchdogs screen grab as a pic they mentioned ubi is also registering other domain names such as watchdogsmoive etc.

looks like they are really getting behind this title and i cant wait

i wonder if they could do some animated stuff before game launch to maybe set up a back story

From what I read, it's fairly standard for companies to take web domains related to possible movies in the future. So I wouldn't put much thought into it.

true just thought it would be good for the franchise as a whole to maybe before the game is launched to introduce us to the characters and maybe get a bigger fan base thats all

I understand and it might work if they choose to make a smaller feature film. Because no movie studio is going to back an IP from a game studio with no proven profitability.

If anything they might try Assassin's Creed II's mini-episodes that took place before the game started and was live-action.
