Sam Witwer as Sam Fisher

Sam Witwer is a brilliant actor and moreover, brilliant voice actor. He is physically fit, could pull off the physicality of Sam Fisher, and has been a soldier before on Battlestar Galactica. Perhaps he's played a soldier more than once. But the point is, you may recognize him as the Secret Apprentice ("Starkiller") from the Force Unleashed...where he also played The Emperor -- the difference in those two voices is astounding and sounds nothing like him. Secret Apprentice is his default "normal" voice while he's completely altered it in order to become the Emperor. He recently has played a surviving Darth Maul in the Clone Wars where he again, changed his voice and added in things of his own -- he made him sound crazy after years of sitting in anger and disappointment at being beaten and letting it get to him. Sam Witwer was the one who asked if he could have Maul recite the Sith Code, in order to sound crazy and to calm him down (yes, he's memorized the Sith Code himself...as a nerd...he loves Star Wars).

Why am I saying all this? Because I'm SURE he could've done a good Michael Ironside impersonation or at the very least, made his voice sound a little coarse, rough, like MI's. I'm sure he'd be able to pull off the dark humor Sam is known for as well. Not to mention that he's just a likeable guy.

P.S. totally unrelated but in the 2011 film Burden of Evil (my mom is watching it on the Lifetime Movie Network...Michael Ironside is in...god what a voice. Anyway he gave some chick who's after the killer of her husband the ability to do anything that's necessary in order to catch him. I was like ," No...Is he giving her...?"

Then in the film MI goes, "Think of it as a license to kill."
I'm just like :O "He just gave her the Fifth Freedom!!!!"

well personally, I think with a little makeup, Brian Austin Green would be a perfect fit for the role of Sam Fisher...

ehhhh....I don't see it. Remember that Sam Witwer as Sam Fisher would be who I wouldve gone with as opposed to Eric Johnson for Blacklist. I'm not casting a movie role, I got someone who's done voice work for video games before, can alter their voice significantly, has a build for performance capture, and is a gamer themselves. Witwer matches that perfectly.

SWFU2 was such a let down. Only 4 hours Come ON....At least it was way better optimized for PC than the first.

I still hope there will be a third.
SW1313 looks awesome just too much like a TPS.

I'm a total SW nerd. But I honestly think this guy could pull it off. His voice would be BETTER at least IMO. But I didn't even play TFU2. The first one ended a good way -- didnt need a sequel.

What were suggestive??? The shirtless one? If I'm not mistaken that was from an episode of Smallville (where he played Doomsday) and that was right before he killed himself. Yes. He killed himself and just like Doomsday, everytime he dies, he becomes stronger. But yeah...not a sexual scene although I'm sure they got him shirtless for the ladies haha

He's a great actor but he often plays villains/misunderstood characters/dark heroes. In fact even Ironside often plays the bad guy! haha But yeah, Witwer sould never be Ironside, I just think he'd be a better voice for Sam than EJ.

That would be a very challenging role. It's not easy to play a believable duckface. He could do it. lol

No but in all seriousness, he is a great actor. He was also on Smallville (as was both Eric Johnson and Michael Ironside) and he had that dark sort of humor. Physically he could pull it off and he has a look that could resemble Sam (way more than Eric Johnson IMO), his voice is also much lower than EJ so I think he could pull off the raspiness of MI.

But this is all based on EJ's portrayal. No one compares to MI but I think SW would work better than EJ. Nothing against EJ, I just don't really get why they chose him as Sam.

Yeah, I agree. No one compares to MI but SW seems so much better than EJ and his voice is lower and not to mention he's good at altering on top of it just beig naturally lower. Facial structure seems a bit more on par than EJ.

He also consistently loses limbs in movies he is in. It's actually pretty strange.

Haha I haven't noticed. He does look like a bad guy...it's his eyebrow ridges -- they protrude heavily lol


But anyway, all we need would be his voice which as I've said, he can alter it a lot.
