Let's say you kill me and notice I have a snazzy SR-25 and you're also a Recon.

You pick it up and try it out. You then see a nice Mk16 SV next to me. You can't pick that up because you're not an Assault. Wert, wert.

Would being able to pick up same-class weapons be a good feature to allow players to demo weapons? They'd obviously lose it when they die, but it gives people a chance to try out of weapons if the firing range idea isn't taken. The kill credits can work as normal, so if I'm level 1 Assault and I kill 10 people with some Lv 30 Assault's F2000, I get 10 XP for leveling up the crit rate on that. This would also encourage cross-leveling all gun crit rates so that you get the same benefit from picking up a random gun as a high level if you're low on ammo, so if I kill a Level 1 with an M27 I can pick it up and go to town with my pre-leveled crit rate.

Strongly agreed!

I actually thought of this idea before, but thought I'd get hatings or something, so I decided not to open a new topic.

But yeah, being able to pick up guns that are the same class as You would be nice, and if someone dies using a pistol, You'd be able to pick that pistol up since it has no class restrictions.

+1 to the idea.

Definitely something that I'd like to see in the full version.

I don't think it will be implemented in a Free-to-Play game. However War INC. had it, so it wouldn't be something Free-to-Play games never did before, so yeah would be cool.

But I think picking up class restricted weapons if You are that class is a good idea, I think they should make it but, we'll see..

Personally, I'd never use it unless I was completely out of ammo and the best option was to pickup someone else's gun.

If they did implement it, they would have to remove any kind of team damage (including grenades). Based on this, probably won't happen. Giving players ANY KIND OF REASON to team-kill is never good game design.

Gun range instead please!
