Help! When I try to place a waypoint into another zone (through an open doorway where the zone portal is), RvS crashes.
Any suggestions?

I only have the game set up for one SP mode, tango hunt, with no randomzonepoints, so I can just move around and get screenies. The spawn point is in a small room, with an open doorway to a large room; I have the doorway portaled (sic) off.
In the planning phase, I can place waypoints in the small room zone, but when I click in the main room (to lead the player into the next zone), Rvs crashes, giving me a 'general protection fault' and a load of text (I can paste this in if it's helpful.) Moving around in the map in-game is fine, as is using the in-game map to navigate; it's only when placing waypoints in planning mode.
My specs are as follows, if this helps (I'm new to PCs):
P4C 2.4
Asus P4P800 Deluxe
512MB RAM
ATI 9600 PRO
XP Pro SP1

Well your comp sounds to good to be the problem, so we'll rule that out. I need to know what you put as the "Level Properties" in UnrealEd. For example, go to "View";"Level Properties";and put the "Max Vector" at x=5000; y=5000; "Min Vector" at x=-5000; y=-5000. Yes, thats negative, and if for example your map spans across 3 floors, make the "Max Level" 102; "Min Level" 100. sounds weird but this is how it works; if you have 3 floors, 1st floor being the ground floor (assuming there is no basement or otherwise subterranean levels) then each floor above that goes in succession, ie. 100,101,102; thus 102 is actually the 3rd floor. If you DO have any floors under the ground, that is below floor "100", you should label it as "99" and then work down from there. If that is the case, then floor "99" would be the "MinLevel". You start to see the picture. If you already tried this, then let me know what is the "random point" you say is causing the problems. Is it a terrorist point node? An R6 insertion zone? Extraction zone? Have you tried placing it some where else? And if that hasn't worked, make sure you have PLENTY of "Path Nodes" in the trouble area;could be there aren't enough of 'em and the A.I. gets confused and crashes. Let me know if it works.

ST-Omega:
My level info seems to be in order; I've got the min level at 100, max at 102 . . . there are two other settings in level info - R6Planning, something about planninglevel0 and planninglevel1 . . . any idea what these relate to? My max/min vectors are set correctly, I think; I can pan around the map, move up and down through levels, and navigate the entire space using the in-game map.
Essentially, the map is one gigantic room, with two rooms at opposite corners, attached to the the main space by open doorways. The insertion zone for single-player mode is in one of the small rooms. When I'm in the planning phase, I can place waypoints in the small room where the actual insertion zone is, but as soon as I click to place a waypoint in the main space, RvS crashes. I tried taking out the zone portals, making the main room and insertion zone room into one zone, but the crash still occured. I also moved the insertion zone into the main space, and the crash occured. Everything is displaying properly in the map, and I took care to tag everything to the correct level, so I'm clueless as to what the problem is.
If you'd like, I could send you the zip folder of the map file, etc, if you want to see for yourself. I appreciate all your efforts at helping me to try and sort this out.
