View Full Version : Any ideas if this is fixable from my end?

So today my internet has been acting very strange.

A lot of sites will load fine at normal speed and everything. Doesn't seem bottlenecked, but then several other sites I go to just flat out don't load, I get an error as if I'm not even connected to the internet. Also, the images aren't loading for me in the GRFS meme thread. I have tried rebooting router and modem, tried changing my IP and even released/renewed my router IP. None of these things helped. On a side note, Facebook itself loads fine, but then the chat just sits there trying to connect and succeeds but then disconnects a few moments later.

I can't connect to Xbox Live because it says I'm not connected to the internet. The lights on my modem are acting a bit strange which is leading me to believe this is at my ISP's end.

Normally the lights on my modem are as follows

Power: Steady green
DS: Steady green
US: Steady Green
Online: Steady green
Link: randomly blinking rapidly.

Right now, all the steady lights are working normally, but the Link light is blinking in a slow very rhythmic pace, similar to that of a blinker in a car.

Any ideas? Any help is appreciated...

And now it just randomly started working again... gotta be the ISP end.

Or a domain name server (DNS) problem. Glad it's sorted.
