What are the ways you can get roof tiles?
No one wants to give them away as gifts because you have to use them for a lot of the builds.

When you use the gifting system, it doesn't take one of yours and give it to someone else. You just give it. So friends can gift them to you without losing anything. The other way to get them would be the "Ask Friends" button on the build popup of whatever you're trying to build at the time (for example, open your Stable, choose "Upgrade", and then "Ask Friends" underneath the item you're missing). It will post to your wall and your friends can click it to send you the item.
