Can someone answer this question? Will Blacklist feature Deniable Ops? I've read all over the net, but haven't seen it mentioned anywhere during the unveiling of the game. They have mentioned SvM & the co-op mode a number of times, etc... but no Deniable Ops. This was my favorite mode in Conviction. I hope they bring it back. This one would probably be a deal breaker for me.

Yeah I hope so too, Deniable ops was most fun coop thing I've done since Chaos Theory.

I agree. Deniable Ops is what gave the game lifetime replay ability.

D-Ops must return, it is one of the best modes I have ever played, it adds alot of replayability due to randomization of guard patrols and their posts.
Also this time around it needs to come even stronger, it needs to have every single Suit introduced in any SC title, from SAR to SCC, it also must have Sam Fisher as playable character when you are doing D-Ops alone.

This time if D op comes back they need a mode where it involves competing a random set objective rather than Kill all mode

So sorta like Spies Vs Merc type mode right? I wanna know if Spy vs Spy will make a return that mode was funn when conviction first came out but I started to become weird as ppl figured out cheap tactics
I also hope Deniable ops makes a return too it was alot of funn

There needs to be the basic terrorist hunt mode, objective based modes (where you don't have to touch anyone) and combined terrorist hunt/objective modes.

I wish that they'll add a chatbox into DOps/Co-op.

I would go further and say that DO is an absolute must, and it must be majorly improved. Sam's campaign in Conviction was an utter atrocity, I would give it a 2/10. Blacklist campaign seems worse if anything, killing is even more emphasised and Sam doesn't exist even in voice anymore. Co-op in Conviction was ok, but it gets old after a while and would only get 6/10. Deniable Ops is the only least bit good and lengthy mode. At times when surveying guards and hearing Splinter Cellish music it felt like a Splinter Cell.
First of all it needs more levels. After playing though co-op I had seen all but 2 levels. Second of all it needs some (not necessarily all) more open-ended levels without checkpoints and progressive stages. More along the lines "Here's a bank, infiltrate it from the back, from the front, from the roof or from the sewers, however you want - and eliminate everyone". Thirdly it needs more modes. Now 2 modes involve killing everyone while 3rd is absolutely ridicilous spies defending generators in a direct firefight. Where is Data Gathering mode in which players need to hack computers like in the archive room during co-op? Where is Retrieval mode in which players need to pick up a package that they need to deliver to extraction point like in Spies vs Mercs? Last of all the game needs more tools, SC-3000 is a shadow of its former self. No scope, no sticky shockers, no gas grenades. No night/thermal vision. No OCP, no lockpicks or voice recorders.
Now moreover theres the risk of Ubisoft thinking the old Deniable Ops is enough as long as they add map editor or such like all other games are doing. No it's not enough. I don't want to create my own maps I know like the back of my hand before even trying them, and I don't want to play all the millions of lame missions made by other people.

I have 11 levels. You obviously just have the co-op campaign levels plus lumber mill and printing press. There's four more that you can download from the marketplace if you're on 360 plus a slightly modified version of the 3E HQ from the SP campaign to download somehow (I can't remember how I got it).

Oh right, and they did look quite interesting. But I'm not going to spend 800MS points and 800MBs to support a terrible game (sans Deniable Ops), as weird as it sounds. If I find them from sale, maybe.
Haven't even heard about 3E HQ map. I assume it was some timed bonus.
EDIT: Even if we consider DLC point is that the retail game needs more than 2 original maps. Hopefully a couple of them being open playgrounds like a bank, manor, police station, hospital, movie theathre, museum, polar base or any other PT/CT multiplayer map or alike.

I would like to see in Deniable Ops new type of infitration mode.
This mode will focus only collecting data/intel, getting information, but the killing would not be forced. You can aviod all the guards and many security against spies by hiding in the shadows or all Ko's to reach the goal. Guards should positioned randomly every time start the game all over again in other places.
If you are detected, the mission starts from the beginning or... rise of an alarms (three of types).
I want this mode so bad...If something like that would not be in Deniable Ops I will not be interested play it too long in this mode.

Talking about the Infiltration mode I'd also like a couple of maps that rely more on technical security devices than armed thugs. I mentioned bank, but any place with lasers, security cameras, motion detectors, proximity mines and perhaps a guard dog along with a handful of common guards would do. Even something like the Paris train with lots of civilians would be cool, and LAX type of identification puzzle.
But as those kind of levels were taken away from the game entirely and Beland's team glamours how awesome predator gameplay is, I'm not optimistic. Especially when based on the videos Blacklist is investing more in giving the player more ways to kill and injure people.

Well there is going to be a CO-OP mode which means they probably will have single player like Deniable Ops too. And hopefully they will integrate even more stealth gadgets and tactics in this mode.

Thanks for digging that up, but it sounds like the codes aren't valid anymore. Oh well it's just a single player level turned into a map. But based on a video it looks better in DOPs than in Sam's story.

It still works, You have to have a Gamespot account. Then just follow his link, log in, and it will give you the code. Then you go to SCC title screen, choose Extras, tap Y I think (it should say hit Y to enter code) and then enter it. You probably already know how do enter the codes, but just in case.

I agee strongly if Ubisoft does not implicate a Deniable Ops I will most likely be very disappointed. I hope that they also revert back.to the stealth aspect more so than conviction. I also would like it if they made more levels and game modes in which were more objective based I found it rather disappointing that it was so kill kill kill. Splinter cell used to be that if you went a whole lvl without firing your weapon then you were not doing anything special, just playing the game the way it was meant to be played; like Lambert said in Pandora tomorrow "your gun should always be your last resort, invisibility is your best weapon." So I now get points for a couple extra gadgets on a gun just because I played the game the way it was originally intended? I don't know what Kobin's new orientation strategy is but I wish I didn't cap Lambert. Let's pray blacklist can bring some of that splinter cell edge back to the series because it was out the door after chaos theory and most of my friends don't like the transformation between stealth and espionage to third person shooter. I feel like I was fooled into buying conviction for hope of a good stealth game, let's see if blacklist disappoints fool me once shame on me fool me twice shame on you. I hope ubisoft developers hear me when I say if blacklist doesn't have either better story or awesome deniable ops then when the next splinter cell comes out they will not get my $60.00. Please listen to the fans I played every splinter cell made. Ubisoft is one of my favorite game labels right under Bethesda. If blacklist is just more mindless shooting and poor casting then they will fall down to number 5 below rockstar Microsoft and ea (descending) deniable ops, however is a must regardless of story quality.

I am slightly worried that 6 months out, Deniable Ops has yet to be mentioned. D.Ops in Conviction made up for what was a very unSplinter Cell single player.
I sincerly hope that it still exists in this game, as it would be more fun with the new maps and cover takedowns which were sorely lacking in Conviction.
If it doesn't exist, why not?
Please Ubisoft, I have faith that this game will be great...But it will even better with Deniable Ops! Don't deny us what we all want!:o

Hunter: Kill everyone. You can be sneaky which will be a benefit since you keep it quiet.. but you can also go loud but that will cause more reinforcements to show up.
Infiltration: Kill no one. This mode is a Ghost's challenge mode. Raising the alarm or killing anyone once (you can set it to give you a few more chances like 3) and the mission's over.
Objective: The MAIN D-Ops gametype that most would play. You can select different objectives or have random ones and then go into a mission. You don't need to kill anyone or touch anyone but you can and won't be penalized for it. So where Hunter forced you to kill and Infiltration forced you not to, you get to choose in this mode just like in the main game.
Those 3 modes would significantly raise the replayability of the game and specifically, D-Ops.

(GRFS) Conflict inspired mode.
There's a bunch of objective possibilities throughout the map, (computers, people, papers, etc)
You, as the lone, or COOPed Splinter Cell (team) must infiltrate the area, and complete the objectives.
There's no waypoint for the objective, just a vocal description of the objective's location, which you receive over the radio at the start of the mission. The objective is randomly picked from ten possibilities (different places on the map) and after you complete one, a new one pops up (you're informed of its location from over the radio).
However, after completing the 1st objective the AI become aware that something is up, and enter caution mode.
The mission isn't complete until you've finished five objectives, so you must complete the following four with suspicious AI.
If you cause an alert, your current objective will be replaced with a new one, however, you won't have the new ones location (you'll have to look for it)
Optionally, you can toggle the auto AI caution mode, so Ghost players can "Ghost" the entire thing.

I think Deniable Ops is there but not exactly how you would see it.
Meaning there will be a load of Co op or side missions to do that will be similar to deniable ops objective along with more but no true separate deniable ops component.
This is due to the SMI system.....of course in the playtest, articles show that the SMI system was quite messy and you get SP,Co op and MP missions/modes all in one.

Community assigned Objectives in "Mission Mode".
Players can create a mission path/scenario by selecting from a list of Objectives and adding them to a map.
- Assigning a specific AI as a target.
- Assigning intel hotspots to laptops, servers etc requiring data hacks.
- Placing an NPC hostage for recovery/escort to extraction.
- Placing security systems to be either bypasses or deactivated/hacked.
- More
Players would benefit from an ability to place AI and countermeasure devices (turrets, lasers, etc) and adjust density and difficulty.
