I must be the only guy in the world who couldn't care less if Ironside voices Sam...
Voice = great.

But gameplay sells games.

I actually agree with Ubi for once -- seeing performances done in LA Noir, Heavy Rain and Max Payne 3, having different actors for voices and mocap just doesn't cut it any more. The performances in those games were mind-shattering. Having the same level of performance in Splinter Cell is worth a change in voice actor, by far.

For me, if I have to suffer each line Sam says in campaign, I can't do it to myself to buy the game. Then they just have to live with losing a massive amount of customers. I mean look at their facebook. It's riddled with complaints about this. I wish I could be more understanding in this but I just can't play a Fisher game without Ironside.

I wouldn't even care so much about someone else voicing Sam if his appearance in this game actually made ANY sense with what we've seen of him in the series so far.

What I think they should have done, and this made even more sense to me when I saw that vid with Ironside talking about the new VO, is have Sam Fisher as a character, be in a command position as he is now the leader of "4th Echeleon". Ironside would do his voice, & just give us a new protagonist. It would make sooo much more sense & I don't think that'd piss people off anymore than the changes they ARE making. Basically Fisher would be like Lambert, we'd get a new main character who'd be younger, so he'd fit the voice better & it'd make more sense that he could hop up a cliff & run around as he does. Like singularity, I personally don't care that much about the voice actor, but I do know that this is going to be something that is whined about non-stop.

Same! I would have given the game a chance if Ironside was still voicing Sam (even though I am not thrilled with the look of the game. And this is coming from someone whoI was one of the few old!school fans that enjoyed Conviction) but I just can't do it without Sam as Sam. That 20 year old is not Sam! The voice actor is great, just not as Sam!
