Cant get onto Ghost Recon Network.

Does anyone else get the message that says "we couldnt retrieve your game data"
I know my xbox is supposed to be linked to uplay and I thought it was. But for the life of me I cant find out how or where to do it. I went on the uplay site itself and when to platform link and its greyed out and says coming soon.
