But yaa what do you guys think?

Pixie Can we at least know when to expect Ubi's Line Up ?!, There is only 18day left till E3, and I really want to know the Line Up.
Ubi can own E3 in one case, if they show ACIII, R6P & SC6, with these 3 games at the same time in one event, I assure you it will be a blast, and TBH Ubi's line for E3-2011 was kinda disappointing, even the demo of GRFS wasn't that good, they should have showed the Snow Map.
Anyway hurry up E3, This E3 is the one I am really waiting for.

I really expecting some sort of nerve wrecking teasing, Ubi is seriously good at that.

Hopefully if it is a E3, they treat all release platforms equally for once. I really hope this doesn't turn into another Future Soldier, where they only talk about the console version, mostly XBOX. We are at least off to a better start with Patriots, they've confirmed a PC release already.

Agree there mate, I am a PS3 player, and again and again the PS3 version is inferior to the X360, it was nice to see The Target Footage actually using PS3 (probably why they changed Sears), so I hope to see R6P at E3 on a PS3, cause really Ubi is losing it's PS3 consumer, 90% of GRFS footage are X360, SCC was an X360 exclusive even though PS system got every other SC title, so at least make it up to us with R6P.
Again I really want to see R6P, I like the story direction, the Gameplay, The features talked about in Gameinformer, I just love everything about it, so I need to see it at E3, if not then I can say that Ubi changed it to something else like they did with GRFS, I hope they don't ruin the perfect vision.

Eh, idk if that's why they would have dropped him. I'm thinking it was bad press, namely potential news headlines, NEW UBISOFT GAME MAKES YOU KILL FELLOW AMERICANS, or something like that. Sure David said that he wasn't interested in what the press said, and he also talked about why can't a game explore mature issues or something like that. Overall it probably scarred the higher ups at Ubi. Now with their new creative team in place we can only hope that that doesn't change the direction of the game.

Indeed, this is a major problem with our industry, back lash always make companies scared to take risks or mature stands, the same story happened with Medal of Honor 2010 were some american were really angry about some player being Taliban in MP, I mean come on, WTH is this about, it is a freakin game, but EA changed the name into opposing forces.
I would be really disappointed if Ubi drop the ball on Patriots story, and make them another terrorist group from outside america or something, the story was so appealing, mature, and it seemed to be something different from your every day nuclear attack, weapon smuggler, ..........etc, it was something undone before.
I tweeted this to you, but here it is again, the new Creative Director to replace Sears is Jean-Sebastien Decant who worked in studio Quantic Dream as a designer on Heavy Rain, assuming Heavy Rain was a mature title, I think there is still hope for R6P, thought ?!
Dieinthedark
05-17-2012, 10:01 PM
Yeah I just recently replied. Though I'm sad to see Sears leaving I can honestly say that Jean is certainly going to keep, if nothing else, the story aspect intact. I mean I only played a little bit of Heavy Rain at a friends house once but it was awesome, plus my friends were always telling me about the story and such so there's hope on that front I do believe. Reasonable concern -Rainbow is a tactical shooter first and foremost. I know the story is being stressed as super important, which imo it should be to help it stand out, but hopefully there can be a balance as well but I'm not too worried.
As far as MoH, the same thing happened with Six Days in Fallujah: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Six_Days_in_Fallujah except that one never even came to light. Its a shame really. I absolutely love the quote Sears left the GI article with.
This [subject matter] wasn't picked to be controversial on purpose. We're trying to set a game that feels current and doesn't feel like old terrorism. If you continue to do a game with the same enemies or the same foreigners and you just sort of ignore things that are changing in the world it just start feeling fake. It feels like this is just a video game -Rouse
Why can't a game be smarter? Why can't a game embrace issues? We're not coming down with any kind of ruling or judgement about any of this. We're letting people talk amongst themselves. We're making a game that we want to provoke discussion and deeper thought. We certainly welcome the opportunity to talk intelligently and thoughtfully about mature subject matter. As the game industry evolves, we're going to face these issues more and more often. -Sears

^^ That's exactly why I really liked the old team in charge of R6P, they had a clear vision in how to make a tactical game (that can make both hardcore and casual happy) and they really wanted to deliver a story, and let's be honest FPS and Stories .........., most of the times they suck no matter what, be it silent character, cliche development, or old Nuclear scenarios.

These days most games comprise of 2 parts as we all know, both made separately yes^^
Ubisoft has said red storm were working on the game.So going by GRFS Red storm done the multiplayer for it and its very nice,so i'm sure they'll be working on the multiplayer for Patriots yes ^^
Maybe the story mode is lagging behind *** they can just release the muliplayer and i'll pay full price D

I don't agree at all, cause I care about SP more than MP.
Yeah the MP seems to have promise, but I want my SP to be amazing above all.
I don't want a 6hr SP Campaign, I want a +12hrs Campaign with Replayability.

I'm looking more forward to Bungies next game, which is almost certain to be a MMOFPS game, as has been rumored for so long, As a matter of fact, it originally wasn't a rumor at all because they were going to make a MMO Halo game but was cancelled by Microsoft. If they do show Patriots then it will probably be a section of the Brooklyn bridge level. At this point, I will be shocked if Patriots impresses me and it actually looks like a Rainbow Six game at all, after looking at Future Soldier.

Thanks for the update. I hope this isn't a sign of a derailed production. I kind of get that feeling with the big role changes that occurred. Regardless, I think we can take this as a sign that Patriots will release in the second half of 2013 at the earliest.

From the article:
Today, Ubisoft announced that it will kick off the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2012 with an invitation-only press conference at the Los Angeles Theater at 3 p.m. PDT, June 4. The press conference will feature demonstrations and trailers of Ubisoft's upcoming lineup of franchise hits, including games for the new Nintendo Wii U(tm), as well as digital titles, special guests and surprise announcements.
Following the press conference, E3 attendees can visit Ubisoft's booth -- #1023, located in the South Hall of the Los Angeles Convention Center -- to see and play the company's latest titles. Games available at the booth will include Assassin's Creed(r) III, Far Cry(r) 3, Rayman(r) Legends, Rocksmith(tm) and many more. The finale of the ShootMania Marathon, an e-sport competition based on Ubisoft's ShootMania(r): Storm also will be broadcast from the booth on at 11 a.m. PDT, June 6.
While it is obvious that Patriots wont be at Ubi Softs booth with all the other games that will be playable as we are told the game is still fairly early in its development, nowhere in that article does it say that Patriots won't be making an appearance at Ubi Softs press conference, there is a difference between the two as I've shown above. I am certain they will show something at the press conference, unless the forum managers are explicitly told otherwise. If Sears and the other lead developers being removed is a sign of anything, it certainly hasn't convinced me that it is a sign of a "derailed production" in any way.

You are right, there isnīt explicitly mentioned that RS Patriots wonīt be at E3 2012.
But considering that RS is still one of their biggest franchises, it would be a bit laughable that they didnīt even mention it in their lineup reveal (if it makes an appearance).
Furthermore, Q1/2013 was the first release date/time frame shown on the homepage of Redstorm, now it is tba.
That probably implies that a no-show at this years E3 is possible as the game presumably will be out after E3 2013.
A surprise announcement will more than likely be the next Splinter Cell.
But thatīs all speculation, letīs hope for the best !

Well, we're talking about Patriots here, no one is expecting a surprise announcement as the game has already been announced. The games they do mention in that article are in relation to Ubi Softs booth, not the actual press conference.

This isn't an indication of anything because the same thing has been done with plenty of other games yet they all managed to make an appearance at every E3 event until its release. Whatever quarter the game was expected to be released is always subject to change, and no actual release date for this game was given in the first place, so its all pure speculation that is based on absolutely nothing concrete.

I really really really hope this isn't true, after all according to their words
- The press conference will feature demonstrations and trailers of the firms upcoming lineup including games for Wii U, as well as digital titles, special guests and surprise announcements.
- Those attending the event will be able to get hands-on time with the following titles: Assassins Creed III, Far Cry 3, Rayman Legends, Rocksmithand many more.
There are some surprises, and I can think of only 4 titles that maybe one of them, Splinter Cell 6, Rainbow Six Patriots, Prince of Persia, and Driver.
One of them is Splinter Cell 6 I hope, but the other game I really want to see is Rainbow 6 Patriots.
Let's watch the conference when it is available and see:

But I really hope that's not the case at all, cause I want both SC6 & R6P at 2013.

No reason to believe that it was changed whether you liked the target footage or not, which I didn't. As I said before, if Ubi Soft didn't like the direction Sears was taking the game they wouldn't ever assign him as the lead on another major project only to repeat what he was doing with Patriots. Nothing is going to convince me otherwise until I see some gameplay footage, which I'm certain they will show at the press conference, although I know there won't be a playable demo of the game at Ubi Soft's booth as sonoblink expects because we're told the game is still fairly early in development.

That what Im thinking too there has to be something they must have plan for R6P at E3, Rockstar did the same thing with the GTA V reveal, they revealed the game back in november it been 6 months and they haven't revealed any details about the game, E3 would be the perfect time to release trailer 2 for both games or at least give us some solid info on the games
I just hoping ubisoft will at least announce it as one of there one of there up and coming titles for early to mid 2013, Im also hoping for a gameplay trailer or something, I dont really expect a game demo during the ubi presser but that would be nice if they could do that

The sequence of the target trailer running on the PS3 (which was shown to the gaming sites last november) would be enough as a start.
I remember reading a preview that the sequence was the same as the target footage except it was at night.
So the screens released a few months ago could be really ingame shots.

If they show the target footage again at E3 but with ingame graphics I wouldn't mind it, BUT I would like them to also show the other demo, the part we never saw yet the press did, I am talking about the garage sequence, where you have a hostage and you can rescue him however you want, that would be great to see.

TBH I totally disagree, GRFS MP is far better than FC3 MP, I have been part of the beta, and I really loved it, especially when there is team work it shine so bright.
On the other hand FC3 MP is (to be nice about it) unoriginal, no vehicles anymore, lame character sounds (I don't want my character telling me I am reloading), not to mention Perks (worst thing ever)

So, the key i provided you was functional, great to hear !
Well, the mp has so many problems and flaws: lag, frame rate drops (they promised 60fps for mp), not being able to join friends, bad hit detection, no server browser, siege is best of 3, clunky movement, even private matches are awful thanks to nearly zero options.
Sure, as you said it has its moments, but overall it is very weak comparing it to GRAW1/2 and the older GRs.
And yes, perks are some of the worst things in gaming history !
Nevertheless FC3 will have a map editor, probably a serverbrowser and more options to set up private matches.

If they get rid of the look and feel of the target footage, I won't miss it. Will the game turn out to be worse, well, if I am going by the target footage, it probably can't get any worse than that although you can expect worse given this is Ubi Soft we're talking about. It's from a gaming site. It was some time last week and I can't remember exactly which, sorry. I know it's legit because everything that's happened so far to this minute is 100% on the money. People on the gaming site was wondering if one of those secrets would be... you know.. that "game" ....made by a certain company with a "star" in their name. I doubt any of those 3 secret games are RB6. It would be smarter for ubisoft to show them at either microsofts or ubisofts press conference since its such a huge game. That list is what IGN will show on their sites E3 stream and they have just be showing gameplay we already saw, but just interviewing the developers. Also, I wouldnt expect any new info soon. Their facebook and twitter have been dead.

Its foolish to pre-order a game you haven't even seen anything of, except some crappy target footage.

Actually, it isn't. I didn't pay for it, I just put $10 down to show my interest in the game. The developers get feedback on preorders to show the public's interest in a game. The more interest that we, as consumers, show in the game, the more info we will receive, the faster we receive it, and the game moves up the list of priorities for the developer. It is important to show the developer where you want to spend your money. As of now, I do not believe that Ubisoft has this game high up on the priority list or it would be making larger strides to bring us more then what it has so far. Even if that means telling us that they have scrapped everything from before and started over. In fact, in the past 6 weeks Patriots has moved from #38 to #30 on this preorder chart. http://www.vgchartz.com/preorders/ . It is important to preorder, then while info comes out about a game and you do not like what you see, move your money to something else to throw your support behind.

Ten dollars, forty, whatever, it doesn't matter, its still foolish regardless. This is Rainbow Six we're talking about here, one of the most popular franchises on the market. This isn't some new game that no one has heard of before. Public interest for this game is already high by the simple fact that its called Rainbow Six. But regardless of how anticipated Patriots is, people aren't just going to put any money down on it after the turd that was the Vegas games, especially looking at their stated policy of dumbing their games down for the "casual" crowd that has yet to be discovered. They have to gain the publics trust first by showing us that this is a real Rainbow Six game in the works and not just some arcadish Halo/Call of Duty wannabe that's called Rainbow Six, like Future Soldier. They wouldn't dare damage the public's confidence in this game anymore than they already have by telling us they scrapped everything Sears started, knowing that many liked what was being promised by him in the Game Informer magazine, minus the target footage of course. As was the case with Splinter Cell: Conviction and Future Soldier, we will see whether or not this is in fact the case for Patriots when gameplay is shown.

Since Patriots has a release date of 2013, there is no reason to expect there'd be coverage of it during this year's E3. It could be released Q3 or Q4 2013, making next year's E3 more appropriate for an announcement. There's also PAX Prime this year left as well.
Having said that, I wanted to see more about the game too, and was disappointed that nothing was revealed during the Ubisoft Press Conference I'm a fan of Rainbow Six and I'm anxious to see more about the game, so add me to the list of those waiting anxiously to see more Patriots deliciousness. :P

I don't know about PAX, I don't think anyone shows anything really major in it, as for E3 I think it is as good as done.
Probably E3-2013 then, my only hope is that they don't change the game looks, I love how R6 Operatives looks in those all black with red uniforms :D

I guess we will agree to disagree then. I have been pre-ordering for titles I am interested in for years and don't plan to stop anytime soon. I throw out money to show interest and if the game sucks I move the money to something else I want and don't buy it. Not hurting anyone with it. You think it's foolish, that's your money, your choice.
I wasn't saying that they were or should scrape the game we have seen so far, I was making a reference to wanting to hear ANY information about the game, good or bad. It was on the cover of the most popular gaming magazine and we haven't hurt squat about it for 6 months. That should never be the case for a highly anticipated title.

I don't beleave you could even keep up with us on a new RB6 and more likely your pc's like you finished.
All you do is complain and put RB6 or any other game from UBI down.

Thats right, and I will continue to complain until I at least see some gameplay footage, even though I in all likely hood will be skipping this game for Ground Branch anyway. And are you seriously challenging me? I kick *** in any shooting game, arcadish or not, and was one of the best in the Vegas games, so lets not even go there. I don't know who put you in charge of this forum to be telling someone to "get lost", it only shows your insecurity, your cowardice with your big man talk.

Hi guys, here is the official statement;
Q: Will Rainbow 6 Patriots be part of Ubisoft’s E3 lineup? What’s happening with the game?
Rainbow 6 Patriots won't be at E3 this year. The team is still hard at work and we’re taking time to ensure the game lives up to fans expectations. We’ll have more to share later.

Lives up to which fans expectations? The term 'fan' is too broad a term for me. Can they define what a Rainbow Six fan is as they see it? After all, the same thing was said for Future Solder and Conviction as well. Maybe they can share this all too important piece of information with us now instead of later.

Man, I must have really hurt your feelings at some point in the past that you feel a need to try and pick a fight with me, but I'm too manly to stoop down to your level, but really, please do continue to show your insecurity, its very entertaining, if the moderators continue to allow it that is.
