Hitman: Absolution teases Assassin's Creed yet again

After the tagline "The original assassin" it seems that Hitman devs are making fun of Assassin's Creed once again.
I bet the game will be full of references to AC, so i can only hope that AC3 will return the favor :D

They aren't making fun of AC. Its actually an homage to the AC franchise. Both are "Assassin based" games after all.

Well i didn't say "making fun" in a bad way, i know it's a homage, one that only AC fans can understand.
Like i said, i hope AC3 returns to favor to both Hitman and Witcher 2.

Hitman is awesome, can't wait to play that game... :D

and I like this kind of reference in other games, if it's a funny reference or not it doesn't matter, the fact that they exist only show that other companies are aware of the success of the franchise..

i can't say how much i enjoyed the mario reference in AC2, its those subtle easter eggs that make them so fun

They're definitely stepping up their Aggro advertisement and TBH Hitman WAS the original Assassin, then again post AC2 the AC franchise became more of an action-adventure game....more boom boom less assassiny.

I'm just happy that I'm getting 2 assassin based stealth-action games this year.

Yeah Hitman was there first and they were the first to impliment social stealth, just not the way AC does.

As far as Assassin games go, Hitman is far superior to AC.
And that book thing was petty and childish.

Absolution does look cool. does anyone else think that instinct thing looks a lot like eagle vision?

Instincts looks like the fall of Hitman. They're going down a similar path ubi did with splinter cell. From the levels I've seen it looks to have gotten to linear. The freedom in hitman is the reason I still play blood money and the side assassin contracts is the only thing keeping me on AC2
