Even with the settings all the way down, there is a lag between the time I click my mouse and the time the gun fires. The FPS freezes up for a half a second, but it makes the game unplayable.
2.4 ghz Pentium 4
512mg RAM
Radeon 9700 pro
Turtle Beach Santa Cruz sound card.
Direct X 9b
Latest Drivers for everything
Any ideas? Otherwise this game's gotta go back http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

Yep, had the same issue. Momentary freezing when first firing a weapon. Another 512 megs of ram solved the problem. I have a similar system, and was also able to crank up the settings considerably with the extra ram

I do remeber on my old machine, when I first booted up the game I would get a slight hesitation, but only the first time I fired the gun. After that it was fine. It has 512 mb ram too. How about anything running in the background, antivirus, firewall, etc.... I also have the Santa Cruz in both my machines. But, I don't think its that. Does it still do it if you exit the game, then restart it?

No I kill most stuff before I start. And it always stutters no matter how many times I restart it. How much is 512 mg of ram these days?

What speed is your current ram PC2100, 2700, 3200? Depending on the speed, probably around a 100.00.
