UbiSoft continues to frustrate me because they won't release SC:PT. My frustration grows each day as stores say they are going to get the game, but they don't and Ubi won't anounce a f****** release date. Anytime this century would be appreciated. So far release dates have included July 1st, July 6th, July 13th and July 15. I emailed UbiSoft last week expressing my concerns, to which I still have gotten no responce, so I think I'm going to email them again since UbiSoft has decided to continue to suck. My old email is posted as well below.

Dear UbiSoft.

When is Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow actually going to come out for Game Cube. I seem to be getting the feeling that UbiSoft cares almost nothing for Game Cube users. Not only is it the last system to recieve the second instalment of the Splinter Cell series, but it doesn't even have multiplayer which was in the other console versions, so what is taking so long? Also, you fail to anounce a solid release date. So far this month I have found four different release dates for this game. July 1, 6, 13 and 15. None of these release dates of coarse have been correct. Can you just anounce a release date all ready and stick with it. I am sick with you leaving the whole gameing community in the dark about if they can actually play this game sometime before Christmas! If you can, please solve this mystery for me. If you can't trust the developer to give you a real release date, who can you trust?
Sincerely,
Eric

Also, you fail to anounce a solid release date. The U.S. UbiSoft page says that the Game Cube version of SC:PT is in fact in stores and when you click on the link it says that it was released on July 1, 2004. However, when you then click on the link to buy the game it sends you to a site where it is still taking pre-orders. Of coarse I do not believe July 1, 2004 to be the real release date anyway because not a single major retailer in town has this game. Including Target, MediaPlay and Walmart. Further investigating of this quandry leads me to the Nintendo website where it states that the release date was yesterday on July 6, 2004, but when I went to Target to pick SC:PT I was disapointed to find that it was not there. Also, in my search to find the true release date, I visited the EB Games website, where they said they were shiping pre-orders on the 6th of July. When I visited the site again today, it now said they are going to ship pre-orders on July 13, 2004. If you can, please solve this mystery for me and fix your webpage. If you can't trust the developer to give you a real release date, who can you trust?
Sincerely,
Eric

Ubi has been focusing on the the Ps2, Xbox, and PC because they will make more money on those systems than the gamecube which has no online multiplayer because Online gaming isnt Nintendo's main priority. Buy an Xbox if your tired of waiting for a bad version of Pandora Tomorrow to come out. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/35.gif

I'm really surprise that they will be releasing it on the GameCube. There was a UBI poll done a few weeks ago by Roulette. It was related to the first few weeks of the PS2 sales not being what they expected based on their marketing and wondering why us as gamers were not out buying the PS2 version. I don't think they expect much out of the Gamecube version, especially since it doesn't even have multiplayer. If anything I have a feeling it will have limited marketing and release. Then again, they might do what Sierra did to "Half Life" for the Dreamcast release a few years ago. The game was done, yet they knew since the system was being discontinued, they wouldn't make their money back. They called the project a "failure" and cut their losses for as much tax right off as possible.

I'm not saying the Gamecube version wouldn't sell, I just don't think they have as high expectations as the XBox or PS2. They are probably weighing "what" kind of release they can have and still be out of the red on the GC release.

Also, note this is not a console war post. I have all three consoles and enjoy playing "various" games on them.

Well, there you go....they did release it, just not with the "hype" and advertising as the PS2.

However, at the indicated web address, did Gamestop copy the features from PS2 or XBox??

Under "Features" it says....

* Discover the tension of the Third Person vs. First Person combat for the first time ever.

* Master two totally opposite gameplays and experiences
