Ok, simple questions here...
Why do the pips of the targeting reticle tighten up so slowly on GRO weapons?
Do they tighten up faster when you get to higher levels or do you have to just get a better gun?
Do the pips affect accuracy as much as they do in the standalone GR games?
I ask these questions because as a new player, my accuracy to hit anything other than extremely close combat feels severely hampered because if I start shooting before the pips tighten up, I won't hit my target even once unless I get lucky....even verse medium range targets if I used short controlled burst like I was taught when shooting M16's, it's still way off....if I wait until the pips tighten up to shoot for better accuracy (3, 4, 5+ seconds is too long to wait), then I seem to be able to hit targets at medium range fairly easy. Like I said though, it takes too long for the pips to tighten up and by the time I wait to get the most accurate shot, it's too late.
So I'm hoping it's just being low level that makes the pips tighten up really slow. Sorry but I"m just used to how fast the pips tighten up in the standalone GR games....I just figured being GRO it would have similar mechanics of the GR series weapons....that is sniper pips and pistol pips tighten faster than SMG's or AR's....if your go kneeling or prone, then the pips tighten even faster than if you were standing...but that doesn't seem to be the case in GRO that I have noticed....I'll have another look at the difference again later today though to be sure.
