Dear Fellow Explorers:
Greetings from the Great White North! I hope this finds you and yours well.
I just reached Channelwood last night, and methinks I got my water turned the wrong way because I can't get that elevator to move worth beans. I think this was problem when I tried playing Myst the first time. Any suggestions, ideas and/or vague notions would be greatly appreciated!!!
Thank you kindly and take care!!
Sincerely yours always,
Salome.

Try starting from the elevator and following the pipes back to wherever you hear the water running, switching the switches as you go. When you hear the water, it's running through the pipe. When you don't hear it, it's not.
Other than that, did you try pulling the lever? I'm not trying to be sassy, but you wouldn't be the first person who got fooled by the elevator! http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

Dear Fellow Explorers:
Good afternoon from the Great White North! I hope this finds you and yours well.
Princess X, yup, I tried the lever, and all I keep getting is a bunch of clicks and not going anywhere. I'll try your suggestion, and I'll get back to you about it.
Thank you kindly and take care!!!
Sincerely yours always,
Salome.
