The blue gal? That's quite excellent! I'm envious of people with artistic skill.

She is very talented. That took her a couple of min. I can barley draw a stick figure.

Why am I being glared at?
it's a heck of a lot better than I can do on a humanic creature (a creature that is similar to humans with only some slight differences(sometimes not obvious))

Your daughter should be encouraged. She shows a lot of talent.
Many junior colleges have classes where younger kids can learn about color, composition and anatomy...
Grrr...
and in High School, there is a class called Art History that can help people. I'm thinking of taking it next year

By all means, take the HS class...but I suggest a college course. It is usually realtively cheap, the people in the class WANT to be there, classes are not as constrained, young people feel like they are treated as grown-ups and folks tend to value it more when they are paying (directly) for it...
Grrr...
the people in that clas want to be there

Maybe so...I'm talking about my HS days....SOO LONG AGO now. Back then, Art class was full of people who didn't want to be there.
I think they would rather have been out hunting dinosauers, Wooly Mammoths and such...:D
Grrr...
lol, they were good tasting *runs*

very nice anime-style character :) beats a lot of the art work I see these days.
I'd have to agree with gaberax -- junior college courses in the summer (at the very least) teach you soooo much more than you'll ever find in an HS class. At least in my experience.

Her HS art class is really hard to get into. Student can only be nominated by teachers and the art teacher herself goes through the students art work and picks who will be in her class. She is only one of 3 freashmen in that class. In fact she in in 3 advanced classes. Art, English, and Computer Science. I am really proud of her. I just hope she stays on track!!! I would really hate to beat her :| :P j/k
I have thought about courses for her but I am always afraid of pushing her too hard. Then I am afraid of not pushing her hard enough. Parenting is hard!!!

Let's see...Art, English, Computer Science...She's going to be a computer game designer/developer, probably work for Ubi (Ubi is busy buying up all the computer game companies, so that will probably be the only one around to work for). If you don't want her to sully the family name by being an Ubi employee you need to stop her now! I know how, send a Terminator model back in time to take out her mother before she was a mother. No! Wait, that's been done. Don't you just hate it when all the good story plots have already been taken. Is there anyone still reading this? If so why? That's it, I'm done, you can stop reading now and move on. You're still here? What's wrong with you? Get a life! Go away! Leave me alone! Persistant little bugger ain't ya? I'll fix you. I'll write the rest in invisible type. Now let's see you keep rea
HA! Told you!

if you saw how I drew up to the fifth grade, you'd be laughing your @** off. I just one day said to myself, "Tracing can't get you anywhere, and this weird shapes won't help eather." I tried many things before I went to my favorite thing, the dragon. It was horrible, but it was better than the other stuff

Sky's right CK. The first time you do something new to you, you're not going to do it flawlessly and perfect. But the more you do it the better you get. So keep drawing and you'll be seeing improvements.

To add to what Ron has said, CK...keep drawing!!! Nobody comes to this world knowing anything...the greatest artists have used tracing, copying, and other tools to improve their drawings. Keep at it, young man.
Grrr...
lol, hmm, I wonder. maby I shjould get you guys in a debate with one of the OP2 forum members. He's excelent with computer imaging (did my site pic for me) but he takes it a bit far and compares it to actual drawing.
