NERF the shotguns PLEASE

God in heaven they are OP.

You stand 50M in front of them, they click ONCE and you have a 90% of just dropping dead, no matter what. they just need to CLOSELY aim at you and you just DROP F***ing dead.

Seriously, i'm getting pissed off in 9/10 games just by shotgun noobs, especialy with the AEGIS combo. Nerf them, and nerf them QUICKLY, or give them to every class.

The way it is now, there'll be Assaults and Specialists running around with shotguns only in no time.

Lets imagine the following: you are in a CLANWAR, both of you have reactions close to 8ms, and you (SMG / AR / MG) walk into a Shotgun. He shoots ONCE, you drop dead. NOTHING to do against that. NOTHING.

You just CANT help it. You have something against EVERYTHING: you can shoot cloaked recons, you can nade Aegis, Fire, Shield and EMP, and you can close-combat Snipers. but theres NOTHING to do against SGs, there just ISNT. They have an INCREDIBLE range and even if you encounter him on 100m range, he'll still kill you with 2 shots.

Also not all shotgun users are noobs as you claim. People complain that snipers are noob, campers are noob, shotgun specialist and assaults are noob, rushing is noob, lmg specialists are noob, ageis is noob, MK16 users are noob, grenade throwers are noob, recon stealth tactics is noob and blitz is noob.
They say that only because they are not doing so good against that specific class/tactic.

and rather than find a way to counter shotguns, people come to the forum and complain shotguns (and anything else they don't like) are overpowered rather than turning on their brains and figuring out a way to defeat something because coming to the forum and complaining about it is easier.

now, from the sound of things the pentagun could POSSIBLY use a little tweaking or made a higher level weapon.. but calling for all shotguns to be nerfed is n00b. find out how to beat something rather than just coming and complaining about it on the forum.

I have not been able to get in the game since i got my beta key so i can't specifically comment on any particular weapon.. but this "nerf the shotgunS" is screaming n00b that doesn't want to figure out how to overcome a challenge, instead just coming to the forum to complain about every shotgun in the game.

Theres a reason why the slower shotguns are so effective at close to midrange, if they wouldnt prertty much oneshot you at close distance they would be totally useless. But nevertheless there is truth behind the talk over nerfing pentagun, after all it is an automatic shotgun and almost as strong as the semis which does not make sense at all.

Basicly they just need to bring autoshotties back in line, less dmg because of so high fire rate.

easiest solution is a drastic increase in spread! sure keep the dmg and the fire rate ... even let one "bullet" go straight! but it should not be possible to one-shot 130hp from sniping distance!
increasing spread would make the shotgun a cqb-wep again!

Increasing the spread might actually be a good solution.

However, it will be easier for a shotgun user to kill of a group that sticks closer together (since the spread damages all of them => semi-auto fire shotguns overpowered).
This will promote the 1 on x fights (shotgun user against multiple people), which makes it less tactical/team oriented.

Forums should have an own section for complaining and whining. :p
And if one is a good player he adapts to a situation where there is shotguns or snipers that piss you off. He would find a better tactic, and not to even think about raging in the forums that everything except my character's weapons and devices should be nerfed.

The pentagun is just fine as it is. Move it up a few tiers to LVL 15. That's it. I rarely get killed by one of them. Don't see any problem with it.

Nor does it. I've played around with shotguns a lot. And by a lot, I mean all shotguns levels 1 to 20 for around 30 hours total. There isn't a single shotgun that oneshots anyone from sniping distance. You can barely even hit someone with a single pellet that far away. A steady 10 damage per shell if you really take your time with each shot. At medium range, around 30m away, you can steadily hit a guy out in the open but you're still not going to get oneshotted. At close range, a shot to the head will kill almost anyone and a shot to the torso will kill recons, most specialists and some assaults. Great for supressing fire and holding locations, but useless at a range without help from your device. I'd rather have a good assault rifle any day.
