Am I missing something?

I have been told by several people that this is not beta for GRFS, But a beta test for a free online game that is to be released soon. So if this has nothing to do with GRFS, why did I recieve betta keys when I purchased my copies of GRFS?

What I am wanting to know and figure out is. Are there different types of GR?

The answer is yes... there are 2 Ghost Recon Titles in the works.

Ghost Recon: Online is the PC beta that is currently underway. GRO will be a F2P title.

Ghost Recon: Future Soldier is a console beta, which there has been no date set for as of yet. GRFS will be a purchase title.

Both games are separate from one another although they do share some gameplay mechanics.

You will still get to be in the console beta. This however "is" for a Free2Play game named Ghost Recon: Online
