This question has been asked before. The game automatically saves when you quit. If you make it past the beginning desert scene, you will always start in your Relto. You access the appropriate book in your Relto and continue with the age you were on.

Actually the game saves while in motion. Every time you do something of significance to your surroundings it saves.

Since it is impossible to die in the game there's no requirement to restore to a previous saved state.

In the rare situation that you manage to manipulate an age into an unsolveable state (I can think of a couple of ways), then you can reset the age from the bookcase in your Relto and run through it again from the start.

I don't agree...

I am in the age with the trees, and played all the way to last puzzle, before realizing I missed the 6th journey in the pillar room. Well... I also reset the pillar room behind me for some stupid reason, so cannot get back down there. Tried deleting the age book, but when I go back it still shows I have 6 total journeys. Worse yet, solving the first puzzle refuses to re-open the tree rotating door to get inside where light puzzle is.

Bottom line - I can't get to the journey from the back, and can't get back in from the front. I am DEAD IN THE WATER and resetting the age does NO GOOD.

Ideas? I also tried deleting 2 sav games I found for that age, but does no good... HELP!!!

Madrigar, I have found it very easy to get the first puzzle slightly wrong. Look very carefully at each image and I am sure you will be able to open the door.

Madrigarr, you need to make sure you put the first puzzle exactly in the alignment it needs to be in -- that is why you are having problems. It is not a bug in the game, it's a bug in human error http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Where are the save files located? I'm about to format my HD, and I wouldn't want to start all over...

Save files are located within the uru game directory under the subdirectory "sav"
