Ghost Recon Online: Combat Footage Contest

Looking to share your Ghost Recon Online Video and be recognized for your accomplishments? Look no further. We want you to create a video showcasing your use of a class ability to dominate or defend against the enemy! You could win a Ghost Recon Online T-Shirt, see below for details.

How It Works:
1. To begin, select a category that you want to create your video for:

[*=left]Best Display of a Recon's Ability - Showcase the use of Oracle or Camouflage in an awesome way. (i.e Using Oracle to located the enemy, then filming your team as they mop everyone up)
[*=left]Best Display of An Assault's Ability - Showcase the use of Blitz or HEAT in an awesome way (i.e Using Blitz to knock down an enemy, then shooting them in the face)
[*=left]Best Display of a Specialist Ability - Showcase the use of Blackout or Aegis in an awesome way. (i.e Using Blackout to stun everyone, then throw a grenade at their feet)

2. Capture your video using a recording software. Recommended video size is 1280x720. Video should not exceed a duration of 30 seconds.

3. Upload your video on youtube

4. Fill out the Official Registration Form (http://surveys.ghostrecononline.com/combatfootagecontest), including your persona name, link to video and the category your are submitting for.


All videos must be submitted before 4/27/2012. We will then review all submissions and pick our finalists. Finalists will be voted on by the community via a poll in this forum thread.






Prizes:

There will be (5) winners from each category, for a total of (15) winners. Winners will receive this awesome, never before released Ghost Recon Online T-Shirt!

MSI afterburner is a free hardware monitoring software (fan speed, GPU temp, GPU voltage, etc.) which you can record footage with. You need to download the beta version for it to record sound though.

So here's my Recon entry, I did it using the Cloak ability since the view while activating Oracle is usually kinda poor. However, and enemy Recon picks me up on Oracle so it ends up showing off both abilities. I call this the Sniper Takedown:

Our friendly team was having issues with this sniper pinning us down, Creep was kind enough to mark him via Laser Designator and I took him out so the team could advance to the point.

Also, I just read the official rules (a little late I know) and this part confuses me:
PRIZE DRAWING:

Phase 1 – Selection of Finalists by Sponsor
Sponsor will select ten (10) finalists in each of the three (3) following Competition Categories (i.e. a total of thirty (30) finalists) among all Entries meeting the Competition requirements:

Best Display of a Recon's Ability
Best Display of an Assault's Ability
Best Display of a Specialist's Ability

The thirty finalists will be posted on Ghost Recon Online Fanpage on the Forums [lhttp://forums.ubi.com/showthread.php/664422-Combat-Footage-Contest] on or about May ,4 2012.

Phase 2 – Selection of Winners by Public Vote
The winners will be identified based on the number of votes each entry receives through a poll in the Ghost Recon Online forums during the period from May 1, 2012 to May 4, 2012 at 11:59 p.m. PT. Each Ubisoft forum account holder will be allowed to vote once. There will be Five (5) Winners (based on the highest number of votes) in each of the three (3) Competition Categories, for a total of Fifteen (15) Winners all categories included.
Is this Phase 1/Phase 2 stuff related to the beta phases? Or are there going to be "sponsors" (Ubisoft staff?) picking out videos to win IN ADDITION to the public vote? I'm reading this as "There are a total of 45 T-Shirts to be given away"... Is the Phase 1 bit irrelevant now and we're just going off the Phase 2 drawing?

dang dude your tripping out. I havent read the rules in like a month and clearly remeber that bit that all videos must be 30 seconds or less why would you want to send anything longer then that? Doesn't matter since it was stated in the OP. For future reference, "should" means "required to" when it comes to contests, always has in every contest I've ever entered. Seemed black and white to me.
