View Full Version : Mouse lagging driving me crazy

My mouse seems really sluggish, and especially in the menus. Its like when I move it, it lags behind.
Anyone know what it can be?
Using PS2 mouse on a P4 2.8Ghz, 1 gig PC3200, Radeon 9800 Pro, Asus P4P800 Deluxe, WinXP

It only lags in the game?, try closing any other application in your system tray.
If it lags always, check that the PC fan is running.
Check hard disc operation, do a defrag.
Run a good upto date antivirus and get the lastest windows updates for XP.
I had random operation problems last week, even completely cut me off from my C drive (I have 2 hard drives formated as system)
Turned out I had Blaster problems, My D drive found it straight away (different anti virus) . I cleaned my machine out completely , updated windows (THou I swear I was up to date ...) and was able to access my C drive from D, cleaned that out too.
Now Im ok.
Check out Microsoft for Blaster detection and removal instructions.
