Hi Ubisoft,
Will far cry 3 on pc be a different development or will it be just a consoleport from the 360 version? And if it will be a port, will you add some pc extras to the game?
Like, will you add dx11 settings and FOV?

The developer said already the pc version will have some extra graphical features.

great reply Fireseed and thanks for the info! This is great and for me the exact info I wanted to know. I will pre-order the game on pc to lett ubisoft know that there are still pc gamers out there that purchase great games :)

what did they exactly say ?
Three things i need to know before i place my pre-order for the PC version:
1. Will we get fullscreen with all aspect ratios?
2. Will there be a FOV slider or atleast a proper PC fov?
3. Will we be able to disable motion blur?

As far as i know PC platform is primary platform for Far Cry 3. Every video and every demo is from PC version. On E3 and Gamescom Far Cry 3 demo was played on PC.

A must:
-DX11 features (especially lighting)
-Something more than FXAA support.
-A proper FOV option
-Keybindings
-Physx options
Would be awesome:
-mod support so the glorious mod community could play around with the game (IE Texture packs, weapons, various other mods)

DX11 was confirmed shortly after the very first E3 2011 demo was released.
I also agree with everything but PhysX, I'd say they should rather use OpenCL (It works on both, NVIDIA and ATI cards.); but I really doubt that they will use either of them.

There is no primary platform. It's played on PC because it looks best, they want the prettiest looking game for the reporters.

FarCry 3 is a multi-platform game. People can interpret that in different ways, but I have played the game on both consoles and PC, and I can tell you that it is well tailored to all platforms.
I am a bit of a sucker for mouse + keyboard when it comes to shooters though, so I prefer the PC version for that reason.
