Hey, everyone, I've been trying to download the game forever and haven't been able too for a reason I cant quite wrap my head around. When I start the launcher everything seems to be working and it says "connecting to server" then the screen goes black and nothing happens afterward. Im not sure what the problem is or have the slightest clue how to fix it. Any help would be awesome and much appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
(P.S.) I have the Microsoft NET 3.5 checked. At least to the best of my knowledge. lol

Hi Bagelboy,
Try running the Launcher as an administrator. If this does not help, please submit a ticket through Support so we can help: ghostrecononline.us.ubi.com/support. Thanks!

You're my hero. Once I disabled one I didn't get a black screen. Ubisoft hurry up and fix this please!

Hmm I have this problem as well, the blackscreen as the launcher ends, and a login to the game, however, I am not running dual cards, (Crossfiring), and still have this issue. Some other games have this issue with "Post Processing" I do know that for a fact, and I have tried fooling around with the "Ini" files, yet, after I save the changed within them, nothing happens, I've tried this with every single "Settings" file, I have even tried setting it to windows mode by default, yet, the files don't seem to effect the game at all.
It is a little disappointing to see this, considering I've never had trouble during the first phase of the Closed Beta.

Submit a support ticket with your dxdiag attached. Include details of what you've already tried troubleshooting so that tech support can move forward with you from there. Looks like you've already tried a lot of the basic stuff. If it worked in phase 1 we should be able to help you figure it out!

It seems people are having a hard time reading/sticking to the topic.
I've searched for this issue and in most cases it starts with "My launcher has a black screen" and then moves on to solving "My game has a black screen".
I've got the launcher and things seem installed. When I run it throuh the shortcut created the .net things pops up, checks compability and then runs the launcher.
I get the "Connecting to server" like most other people, then it turns black. The launcher, not the game, because it hasn't started up yet.
I've seen some solutions being "Start the launcher as an administrator" - How/Where? D:\Ubisoft\GRO\PDC-Live (Install location) has a Yeti_release.exe which won't let me run as a standalone file and tells me to use the launcher.
The launcher I've downloaded cannot be run as an administrator (Launcher.application).
C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\UbisoftGameLauncher.exe tells me "Please start the game you want to play instead".
Yes, I have .NET 3.5, latest GPU drivers and I'm running W7X64.

The best way to find your launcher is:
Start it up.
Open the Task Manager.
Click the "Applications" tab.
Right-Click "Ghost Recon Online Launcher".
Select "Go To Process".
Right-Click the "Launcher.exe" process.
Select "Open File Location".
Set that "Launcher.exe" to run as an administrator.
Hope this helps.

Hi.
I should have thought of that. Thanks!
Now it's done and the shortcut doesn't work. Logfile says "Application requires elevation".
If I run the launcher straight on with elevation, it starts as a fresh install. I chose the same path as before and it starts up the whole "Connecting to server" again and then turns to black.
Next time running it on its own it won't ask for the path.
It seems to be a IE9 window of sorts though. I can right-click the dark area and view source and if I right-click the program title bar (Where it says "Ghost Recon Online Launcher") I can choose "Show proxy settings" and "Show connection settings".
The first gives me a regular IE9 settings window and brings up the Connections-tab.
The second allows me to set a certain limitation for the program, for upload/download speed so part of the program seems to be running at least.
I have tried disabling my firewall on this computer and the results are still the same.
Any ports I should forward in my router?
Should I just try a reinstall?

Done, thanks for the link.
Hopefully this'll be resolved so that others with similar issues can get it working as well.

Sorry I couldn't be of more help, but the people who have solved the issue haven't posted to let us know what their solution was. I always try and keep a little "Knowledge Base" of solutions myself, but official support should be able to help you way better than I can.
Good luck!

Fixed it.
Go into IE9 and then Tools > Internet Options > Security > Custom Level.
Set anything to do with JavaScript or Scripting in windows to Enable. The problem was that IE was not allowing the Launcher to run in the special window.
