It's not officially supported yet. You can plug it in and start the launcher. It may or may work. It's not currently a supported option, though.

Know of any programs that may bypass and let me map keys to g-pad?. the mouse is not working with me. console gamer here that just had to play ghost recon even if it is only on the computer.

There are programs like this out there, but none that are endorsed--so I can't recommend anything specific. Google is your friend. I've seen some that allow you to map any keyboard or mouse key/function to a controller.

Check out xpadder, it's free and works great with my xbox controller. I only use it for racing games though so not sure how well the xbox controller will work for shooter games.

Why on earth would you want to use an xbox controller? No I'm not trolling.

I agree with KegaroOne, using a gamepad vs people using mice puts you at a terrible disadvantage.

here is a link (http://www.instructables.com/id/Use-an-Xbox-360-controller-as-a-mouse/#step1) to how to set up a keyboard and mouse for a xbox 360 controller. the program they use is joytokey and it needs to be running in the background for it to work.
here is a configureation that i'm playing around with to test joytokey.
left thumb
AxisX(<0) == a
AxisX(>0) == d
AxisY(<0) == w
AxisY(>0) == s
right thumb
Axis4(<0) == mouse Horizontal(-10)
Axis4(>0) == mouse horizontal(10)
Axis5(<0) == mouse vertical(10)
Axis5(>0) == mouse vertical(-10)
the tens are the mouse speed settings (0 - 100). 100 is the fastest setting and the closer to 0 is the slowest.
right and left triggers
Axis3(<0) == mouse left click (shoting)
Axis3(>0) == r (reloading)
directional pad
POV1:Up == 2
POV1:Right == 3
POV1: Down == z
POV1:Left == 1
A,B,X,Y
****on 1 == c
****on 2 == spacebar
****on 3 == e
****on 4 == L ctrl
Bumbers
****on 5 == L shift
****on 6 == 4
back and start
****on 7 == esc
****on 8 == m
thumb stick click
****on 9 == f
****on 10 == mouse wheel click (melee)
I'm trying to figure out how to do zooming for the scopes now.
